What would a win mean for Pacquiao?

Listen, I do not wanna see Manny fight again at 46 and I suspect it ends badly but unfortunately it looks like it’s happening.

So what would a win mean for Pacquiao? He’d be the 2nd oldest fighter to win a world title after B-Hop. He’d be to my knowledge the only fighter to win a world title in 4 different decades (90’s, 00’s, 10’s, 20’s.)

Manny is already a bonafide lower top 10 ATG IMO, would him regaining a Welterweight world title aged 46 potentially take him towards the top 5 or 3?

It means he's trying to line up a Saudi fight with Turki that can get him some of those over paid checks that fighters are seeing nowadays. I bet you it's not even Manny's idea for this whole thing but his manager. The dude is seeing green and missing those older Manny checks. He sees an opportunity to squeeze Manny for 1 more mega payday if they can acquire a belt, acquire Turki's attention and make some crazy matchup that will no doubt see Manny lose it, but get paid handsomely in the process.

Nothing. We know Pac is long done and this is just a bonus payday for his legendary name and career. Just like nobody remembers old Duran vs Joppy or Louis vs Marciano or Tyson vs McBride. Or nobody should remember those disasters, win lose or draw.

Can one really absolve Manny of responsibility like this? He's a 46 year old man who could easily just say 'nah'.

As for what it does for his legacy if he wins, TBRB have Barrios #2 at 147 so it would be a respectable win.

Pac winning would mean that we’d end up seeing him get badly injured in the near future

It would mean that the fight was fixed. Pacquiao is in for a bad beating.

It means he probably fights Boots or Benn and gets beaten up badly.

It would mean he sent a somewhat obscure fighter, even if he has a belt, further into obscurity.

I'm really hoping Barrios pulls it off and by dominant stoppage, Pac's ego is out of this world did anyone of you know he wanted to compete in the Olympics? Against a bunch of kids to steal their glory for himself.
