Close fight, but Froch wanted it more. As evident by him throwing more,landing more and being much more aggressive.

Dirrell held Froch too much, and he wasnt active enough to win the fight. He was just running and waiting to land a big shot to ko Froch, which is very unlikely to happen... Dirrell is talented, but he got his tactics all wrong.


I watched the fight on my computer with the showtime commentators, who were heavily biased towards Dirrell. commenting on him landing a harmless counter punch right after froch threw 3-5 punches at him.

Basically you cant win rounds by only landing a few good punches and running for the rest of the round. Thats why i gave most of the rounds to Froch.

Both. Dynamite, I don't even consider Dirrell vs. Froch as a close fight. It wasn't even close, let alone can't understand how someone could believe Froch actually won.

The only thing that was close about that fight was that the rounds Dirrell won were not won big, however he still clearly accumulated more of them.

How does Froch win a fight where he is outlanded round by round, it beggers belief that people are ****** enough to think Froch won. Commonsense dictates if you get hit in the face more times on a round by round basis you lose.

Ok guys - I see this fight has got tempers flared!!

Froch better use this decision as a warning he needs to up his game for this tournament.

I underestimated Dirrell in a big way - yet he was an excellent boxer who was tailor made for a style like Frochs. He seem bloody accurate at times yet I dont remember Froch ever being hurt (it was late when I watched it tho). If he upped his workrate more he would have taken this fight.

I like Froch - but his lack of skills were shown up last night. I thought Dirrell took the defeat well, he was very positive about it all.

I wasnt impressed too much with Froch but I am glad he got the decision. He needs to step it up now tho. Thing is - I cant see Froch changing much for a rematch, whereas Dirrell is a young fresh fighter who will learn a great deal from this fight.

Please lets not get personal about this fight.
