Round 12 10-9 Froch
113-115 For Dirrell
Some key rounds for me, obviously the 10th. With the deduction, I felt Dirrell made a purposeful and obvious offensive attack for the tie. He knew ever point mattered. The first two rounds are toss ups, but dirrell's boxing should have been prevalent to everyone judging in the middle rounds. As the first two rounds were toss ups, the last two were hard for me to decide as well. Notwithstanding the whitaker-esque defense in the last rounds, he Dirrell didn't end strong.Comment

Aside
oh yeah i really enjoyed the fight too. A class act and despite the hardships (Froch's tactics would not have been allowed anywhere else) Dirrell showed he belonged in this tournament. I am rooting for him, although Abraham's style is conducive to Dirrell getting hurt possibly losing. As you can see I enjoyed watching him be a real champ, despite the scorecards. The potential he has includes being a better champion than froch later down the line. Listening to him in the interview, one senses that he knows hell be champ in due time.Comment

A point in favour of Dirrell is fair enough. I had it a point in favour of Froch. I just can't stand the people who act like it wasn't a close fight. There were 3 clear rounds won by Froch, 3 very clear rounds won by Dirrell, 5-6 very close rounds, and 1 round with a point deduction.
It was a one round fight or draw. Anything else is plain bias and hate.Comment

Its definitely a close fight and a frustrating one at that because of all the shenanigans of Dirrell during the fight, And like i said before am soo glad he didnt get the decision.Comment

Ummm, Dirrell fights off the back-foot in all of his fights. That's his style and it's how he fights every fight. It had nothing to do with Froch making him fight that way because that is how he fights.
There were a lot of close and hard fought rounds in this fight, and a few could have gone either way, but I still don't think Dirrell warranted the decision. He spoiled all night because he didn't want to get caught up in the exchanges. Froch had Dirrell on the back foot for 10 out of 12 rounds, and landed enough of his own punches, and worked enough on the inside to win the fight. I don't see Froch's win as a controversial decision. Two of the judges score cards were definitely a little wide, but the correct fighter won.
