Fury fought Seferi and Pianeta for the one and only real title!
Champ was on extended medical leave. Champ gets to choose his challengers, which has always been the way. Champ was tuning up in preparation for knocking off the title claimants who crept up during his absence. Champ got half the pretenders licked, though it took three brutal fights against Wilder to do it; and the other guy, the Nigerian - Englishman, got laid out by a late substitute from the US, and fell out of the running.

Things unfold unexpectedly sometimes.
Fake champ gets to choose challengers for his fake title. Mugs accept these bum fights as legit world title fights. Fake champ and his greedy, lying promoter laugh all the way to the bank.

Fury relinquished his titles, surrendered his boxing licence and retired for 2 and a half years after failing a PED test and being declared medically unfit to fight, before coming back to fight Seferi and Pianeta.
Seferi, at his peak, was a C level cruiserweight.
Pianeta, at his peak, was a C level HW.
Both were in their 40s and 10 years past their peaks when they fought Fury. You are touting those 2 fall guys as legit world title challengers, and calling me a silly guy?

Champ won title by shutting out the former champion W. Klitschko, lost the title to Usyk 9 years later. Tuneups after sabbatical were of his choosing, went after the more stable alternate title holder, fought him to a draw, then legitimized his possession of the actual championship in the Wilder rematch. Not rocket science.
The historical precedence examining aborted retirement of reigning champions; Jeffries lost to Johnson, Tunney never resumed, Louis lost to Charles, Marciano never resumed, Ali lost to Frazier, Ali lost to Holmes, Lewis never resumed, and Fury...defeated Wilder, which negated any interim activities undertaken during Fury's absence.
Again, not rocket science, and no room for debate.

Be humble, get learned.
You are displaying your ignorance of boxing history by claiming that Jeffries came out of retirement to fight Johnson as the reigning lineal champion. That never happened. Jeffries fought Johnson as a challenger, not as the defending lineal champion. Nobody would have even known what a lineal champion was back then. The term didn't exist till the 1920s.

Yaaaaaa. No. You're just trolling now.
And no, I'm not going to afford you any further instruction. A student has to be both willing and able.
