Gets a mid-7-figure payday with Zepeda that’s mandatory without a purse bid, hires a promoter for a flat fee that will make much less than a promoter that had him under contract would get, and will be a free agent after.”

"Either side could opt out after the first", so it seems like there shouldn't be any hard feelings then. It's probably for the best, for both sides. Shakur ultimately wants Davis, so it's best he keeps his options open. It seems like he'll also be saving money with Dibella.
