Haha yeah...he looked more switched on than usual because obviously he was fighting to save his career. Still, he did well to badly hurt Cameron who'd never been stopped before even if it was a premature stoppage.

The journeyman was hurt, then lots of unanswered punches, if the rope was not there he would have gone down, at best ref might have gave a standing count but Cameron didn't care himself that it was stopped. He knew he's a journeyman he was hyped up with most of you claiming he schooled Whittaker just because he had a good 5th round first fight lmao
We stop boxing fights when someone is hurt now? It's a FIGHT.
You believe the ref would've stopped the fight that quickly if Whittaker was hurt?
We all know he wouldn't have. That should be enough for you to stop talking nonsense.
I don't discredit the punch that wobbled Cameron. It was legit. My biggest beef is with the ref just stopping the fight with Cameron merely buzzed and held up by the ropes, which should call for an eight count, because technically it's not standing?.
In either case, both fights now, we were robbed of a proper resolution. The moment has passed. Maybe Whitaker will mature or maybe he'll get KTFO, and maybe Cameron will be given some solid domestic paychecks for his troubles or maybe he'll find himself cast out for good. Who knows? Who cares?.
