Did i miss something? I dont recall him being dropped...as the article states. Buckled yes...but he seemed to be weathering it. I agree with others that it was an early call...he wasnt firing back....but he was covering up well enough. And another question...why are they giving Whittaker a pass on his post win behaviour? Everyone bar one person is blowing it off as heat of the moment.

Ridiculously premature stoppage. Not down, not beaten up, momentarily wobbled, covers up, which is exactly what you should do. Waved off? GFYS. I want to like Whittaker but, no I can't. Disgraceful stoppage.LG Motel 22 likes this.

Didn’t like the stoppage but I think Cameron was 15-20 seconds away from being legit stopped.
You can love Whittaker or hate him, and I don’t know whether or not he’ll fulfill his potential, but the talent is undeniable.JeBron Lamez

Either way it was definitely early. He was defending himself, wasn't out on his feet.

He did catch Cameron, but there were signs Whittaker was tiring again.
He started getting caught by a lot of jabs, took a few deep breaths. Right hands were landing.
Yeah, he caught Liam with a huge shot, but Cameron didn't go down and was very live. If the ref let him weather the storm, the fight was very much alive.
Ridiculous the fight was stopped and also ridiculous that there will probably be no investigation into the stoppage.
