I was surprised Stanionis is one of the few fighters in Ennis's size range, outside of Villa and Karen. Boots is physically big for the Welterweight weight class, but so far since becoming champion, I can't say he has picked opponents that he has much or any substantial size advantage over.

Could had taken a similiar route to Haney, but didn't.

Can't give Karen his credit? I mean I agree that the rehydration clause might had affected his performance to a degree. But I think Boots was as imposing and as skilled as he is going to be tonight, just that Karen has a granite chin and is quite a crafty fighter.

Gotta love fights in which I like both fighters and will be happy for either to win. Which is many fights, but way better when it's not just A-side guys fighting mismatches.

I think Stanionis is very solid, good pressure that fights behind a super stiff jab.

Boots should have way too much in his arsenal but Stanionis is no mug.
