Nearly every fighter moves up and down in weight classes beyond their best chasing paydays and titles at some point during their career.

There is no asterisk next to anyone's wins or losses due to CWs.
There should be an asterisk for Floyd when he welched lightweight Marquez on the 144 catchweight, which he had no intention on making

Nah, boxers do that **** all the time. Garcia just did it to Haney.

Marquez could have walked. Instead, he took the money.

Murray took the money (against Brandon Rios).

Ioka took the money (against Franco).

Curtis Stevens took the money (against Lemeiux).

Escobedo took the money (against Broner).

      Countless others.

These fights don't have asterisks next to them.

So put the asterisk next to Floyd's bogus win over Marquez and analyze the others later

I don't really have anything bad to say about Miguel Cotto. He was a great fighter.

Ah so the issue is actually you just don't like Floyd. Got it.

No I don't like gross unfair advantages but apparently you do if all you have to say is

Marquez could have walked. Instead, he took the money.

You think he would agree to being welched on the catchweight agreement after moving up two weight classes if he wasn't beat for the money

PC: Was coming down to 145 tougher than you thought it would be since you hadn't weighed 145 or less since 2006?

MC: I felt really good at that weight. It wasn't a problem for me.

hatton didnt get ktfo by floyd like pac did against marquez. (you wished floyd could do that). it was a TKO!! nice try tho.

and i dont give pac much credit for beating hatton anyways... hatton was never that good in my eyes. but pac still beat hatton in a way better fashion than floyd could ever, took floyd 10 rounds to get that drunk out of there LOL.
He was 145, same 2lbs as Canelo. Stop trying to make it different.

Hatton literally hit his head on the turnbuckle on the way down after Floyd smacked him. He was falling down ktfo on his feet when the fight was stopped. Don’t act like he was fighting back.

see what I mean. Biased and hypocritical. Floyd beat an undefeated Hatton. Manny a okay kid Hatton moving down in weight.

Cotto fought a lot of top fighters, he never could get that marquee win but was always competitive and fun to watch. When he fought at that level they were always big fights. He was one of the top guys in any of the division he was in but was not the guy.

By Michael Collins: While it seems that Top Rank promoter Bob Arum isn’t too excited about matching his fighter WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao up with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May, Arum also doesn’t appear to want Mayweather fighting one of his guys WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto. Arum told the Manila Standard “They are not going to get him “

Also don’t forget they did the Floyd v Brussels fight- Brussels trained by Cotto’s dad who also trained Cotto. Brussels and Cotto had a similar style.

Floyd demolished Henry and TR went in a different direction.
