Applying that logic equally and fairly, Cotto at 145 was drained and Hatton was shopworn because he got ktfo by Floyd before Manny beat him.

This would mean Manny doesn’t get credit for Hatton unless you guys give Floyd full credit for beating Manny.

You guys are incredibly biased and inconsistent.
cotto fought clottey at 146 prior to fighting manny.

hatton didnt get ktfo by floyd like pac did against marquez. (you wished floyd could do that). it was a TKO!! nice try tho.

and i dont give pac much credit for beating hatton anyways... hatton was never that good in my eyes. but pac still beat hatton in a way better fashion than floyd could ever, took floyd 10 rounds to get that drunk out of there LOL.

there is a difference according to you, because you claimed cotto was drained vs pac even tho cotto just fought clottey at 146... i dont recall cotto coming to the weigh in looking like canelo did.. the mofo couldnt even stand and had to take a seat LOL.

Cotto was not really a 154lbs fighter. He just made the most out of extending his career as he aged and couldn't make 147lbs anymore. He was rather small in comparison to the guys at 154lbs. The wins he had there were mostly against C level opposition, with the exception, an aged Martinez who may have had some leg issues going into that fight. Though who cares. It was a nice little resurrection of his career when we all thought he was retiring after 147lbs.

For me, he was a brutal force at 140lbs and then put on a good show at 147lbs.

Yeah you can because Canelo fought Trout at 153.5 prior to fighting Floyd at 152.

that's what he came in for a 154 fight. he didnt fight at 153.5. knowing that he's gonna be fighting at 154, he's not going to put much on cutting down. i shouldnt even have to tell you this.

Cotto vs Clottey was a 147 fight, Cotto just weighed in at 146.

Same was Canelo-Trout was a 154 fight fight and Canelo weighed in at 153.5.

The scenarios are close to identical.

Catchweight arguments are the most low-IQ thing in all of boxing.

Each time a fight is negotiated, a weight is agreed to. Sometimes it's within the established weight classes, sometimes it isn't. Both fighters have agree to it - no one is forced to do anything in boxing.

Nearly every fighter moves up and down in weight classes beyond their best chasing paydays and titles at some point during their career.

There is no asterisk next to anyone's wins or losses due to CWs.

Woah woah woah, hold the phone, NOT a top level win? Am I reading that right?

But he was ranked #1. So it has to be a top level win, to you at least, because we know how much stock you put into rankings now don't we?
