Yes, in spurts he did eat a lot of counters from Farmer; Especially with the uppercuts. However, he was never in any type of trouble of being stopped or knocked out.

All I am saying is that Tevin needed to settle down on his punches more for power and stopped backing up so much. Where he was constantly being pinned along the ropes. He needed to move his hands more than his feet.

He needed to fight not box. Zepeda outworked and beat him to punch all night long. One can't reasonably expect to win a fight by constantly backing up and not throwing enough punches.

Where was the combination punches by Farmer? He was pretty much landing only single punches at a time.

However, at the same time though. It's opponents like these which Zepeda should have dominated. If he was truly as good as advertised then he would have knocked a washed up and shopworned Tevin Farmer out.

There was about 10,000 articles written and 10 million posts saying that Boots is overrated. Now that Zepeda barely won his second fight with Tevin after they cheated in the first fight for him, where you guys at???? hahahahahahaha
I mean, the very first comment was saying that putting Zepeda in with Shakur is a terrible idea, worthy of death. It's pretty clear he's not on the level he needs to be to make that fight seem realistic, even if Shakur took 9 rounds to get rid of a short notice electrician. Shakur doesn't have power, and brittle hands, but it's still hard to see Zepeda doing much more than following Shakur around and getting his face bruised up. Although, I was never really impressed with Zepeda's skill, just his gas tank. That's still pretty darn impressive. He feels a lot like Joe Joyce did though. Being a juggernaut, especially when your chin has proven not to be granite, only takes you to contender level at best. Sooner or later, someone is going to check that hype.

Something was making the Dominican keeps his hands at home.

Counter? by someone jumping back like cat and doing indy 500 around the ring.

I agree and disagree with some of this. I like Zepeda and think he dominated in the 2nd fight. And I think Farmer "should have" thrown more, and when he did, he froze up Zepeda at times.

But I disagree that Tevin didn't have power. He froze Zepeda a few times and I kept wondering if Zepeda, despite numerical dominance, would go down before it was over, even if he got back up and still won.

He should rematch De Los Santos and make things right then. if it was supposedly injury.
He beat De Los Santos fair & square. I'm sorry if you feel like it wasn't exciting enough for you, but that's not the job of boxing.

It's to hit & not get hit & Shakur does that better than anyone in the sport.

Keyshawn just won his title like a week ago.

He's been chasing Loma for years & Loma won't fight him.

You're right Tank won't fight anyone. that's not Shakur's fault.

And how do we know he has "brittle hands"?

Because he had ONE injury like plenty of boxers do?

Just say you're a hater & move on with your life.

Let's not get carried away here fellas. After all, it was DAZN's broadcasting team who made it appear like Tevin Farmer was doing a lot better than he was throughout the entire fight. Remember that Tevin only looked good in spurts.

He lacked both the stamina and cardio in order to go toe to toe with William Zepeda. Which is why his punch volume was so much lower than Zepeda's.

Sure, he looked good when landing those counter uppercuts but he just didn't land or throw enough of them. The truth be told; Tevin did not do anywhere near enough to win this fight.

However, he does get brownie points for putting up a good effort and overachieving though. You simply cannot win a fight by just jabbing and backing up like Farmer did.
