Shakur would do bad things to Zepeda.

How the heck did those judges see this fight close? I felt the fight should have been stopped a couple of times! I thought Tevin won 2, maybe 3 rounds. He showed a lot of courage though.

The reason for the two above statements is the same: Shakur beats everyone & will escalate to extreme violence when guys finally try/are sufficiently equipped to take it there, painting art all over 35, 40 & eventually (with modern sports science being what it is) 47.

He'll be 28 in June & his best boxing buddy, 38 year old Bud is about to fight Canelo this year having slowly taken over the world so he's got his role model right there.
Being friends with Bud Crawford doesn’t make you Bud Crawford. Just ask Buboy Fernandez.

Shakur Stevenson has a very loyal hype team, but he gives them very little material to work with. All they can do is speculate on imaginary future realities.

I have no doubt that Shakur is miles ahead of Zepeda in the skills department. The only question I would raise is how would Shakur's hands hold up having to land more punches than he's probably ever landed on any other fighter's head?

When Shakur lets his hands go like he did last month, he looks freaking amazing!

How come no one TALKS about Tevin Farmers Clinch Fest. Ofcourse is hard to stop a guy who huggs you 100 time a fight and it on his bike all night going backwards. Issac Cruz couldn't stop Giovanni with a all those clinches.

Now days clinchers get away without a point getting deducted.

Only in boxing, can one fighter land 200, yes 200 more punches according to compubox yet it's a close fight or a robbery.... LMAO

Yeah, I have to agree that Farmer was holding way too much for my liking, but maybe it had to do with hurting his left hand/arm..

landing punches is the main objective in boxing. What metrics were the judges using to call this a close fight?

Exactly. Stevenson will consistently catch Zepeda coming in during the first few rounds; and then Zepeda's output will drop badly thereafter. Not sure about a KO, but a solid UD is not unreasonable.
