I'm not comparing racism to anything, you are. The disrespectful words that may trigger one man to want to cause extreme physical harm to the man that is being disrespectful varies from man to man. One man might see red because they were called a racial epitaph, where another might see red because their mother was insulted, not everyone gets triggered by the same insult.

Not fighting someone because he said or did something racist is very different from not fighting someone because he was merely disrespectful. The former is unusual, the latter is common in boxing. It's so common that Canelo fought fighters who disrespected him.

Understood. For the record, I'm still holding out hopes to see it happen as well, but I can't picture myself being overly emotional about it. As we all can see, David isn't getting any younger but he's not old either, so he can actually afford to wait.

Canelo is the A-side and the older fighter, so it won't benefit him to wait too long to accept the fight. We've seen this same movie with Canelo and from what I can see, he's fought everyone that "fans" said he was "ducking" in the past. And won.

It seems like fans just don't get it...the more you call a fighter "scared" or a "duck" the longer it takes to happen--yet, fans still do it anyway and throw fits when they have to wait.

Canelo is clearly ducking and he won't be taking the Benavidez fight. He knows Benavidez beats him.
