Whether you like Benny or not, the man deserves his shot. Whether that's Canelo, Bivol, or even an attempt at Cruiser, the man deserves his shot. He's done everything asked of him, including fighting Morrell when he didn't have to. And if you're someone like me who thinks he's good but still unsure how good, then it's in our best interests as fans of the sport to see him get that shot.

Disrespected? That's the reason to not fight someone now? You can't make this stuff up. When someone disrespects you, that's the more reason to fight someone. Let's not pretend like canelo hasn't gotten heated with fighters. Remember Caleb plants pre fight beef? Canelos excuses of not fighting after being disrespected is only used when it's convenient for him. Dude is a little diva. Jotolon.

Though I certainly believe Ginger avoided Benavidez, I can understand his line of reasoning in not giving Bena the fight. When a man is young or naive, wanting to physically hurt somebody that disrespects you is your first instinct to getting revenge, but that line of reasoning is for men who have no real power and lack intelligence.

Every boxer that has fought Ginger in the last 8 years or is wanting to fight Ginger, is after a career high payday. The best way to punish Benavidez is to not allow him to make the millions that Bena would make fighting him or to give him the big stage to showcase his talents. Even if Ginger could or would beat his arse, Bena would make a minimum of $10 million. Allowing someone to make millions off of you even if you're allowed to beat him up with boxing gloves and rules is not a form of punishment, it's actually a reward.

Keyshawn said the same thing about Teo after the racist words and actions that he was recently associated with. When asked about a possible fight against, Teo, Keyshawn said "I'm not gonna allow this man to make money off of me by giving him a fight".

As a boxing fan, I obviously want to see Ginger fight Bena, but as an older man, I can definitely understand the logic when Ginger says he's not gonna allow Bena to make money off of a fight against him.

Fact of the matter is, is that Alvarez feels disrespected. So the only way to get this fight on the road is for David to apologize to Alvarez. Respect is a good thing

Fact of the matter he is lying about feeling disrespected. He started ducking Benavidez years before David ever disrespected him. The first time David 'disrespected' was when he chose Mungia. Go ahead and find a single quote before that being anything but respectful to Canelo. He literally made up that narrative.
