Just when I think he has improved (after a couple of good mail bags) and is no longer emotional and irrational, there he goes again. Boots is on a mythical p4p list without ever beating a top 5 fighter in his division and without ever winning a title in the ring by defeating a champion - after 33 fights. Based on talent and an eye test alone.

And by the way, why are we still arguing and writing essays about a fight that happened 35 years ago (again and again and again)? Talk about having an axe to grind. Let it go ... let it go.

that ain't how. I've been a child and raised them. we all boxed and some my kids do other martial arts as well. they fought ppl who were also trained in fighting. being a street nuisance or thug isn't being a man. how about learning how to treat women and children with respect. have enough self respect to take care of children you've fathered. lear trades in construction etc and get a trade degree so you can grow within your trade. that is being a man and raising children right.

Honestly, can Breadcrumbs be anymore bias??? In what fantasy P4P list is a hype job like Boots allowed in… Dude is coming off his worse performance as a pro against an average boxer in Karen where he was being touched up left & right just shameful. Even worse Breadcrumbs out here trying to discredit a legit future P4P talent like Vergil Ortiz Jr. saying how his style don’t age well even though he got Beterbiev in his P4P list who is similar in style w/t that seek and destroy mentality and dude is 40 yrs old, can’t make that crap up dude should be fire by boxing scene

That was such a great fight to be fair.

It’s sad that we have to go back 35 years for one that catches the imagination like that one did.

I’ve heard of parents taking their child to the gym because they liked fighting and it was better they did it ‘legit’ than on the streets. Until you I’ve never heard of someone actually encouraging their child to fight on the street. That is bizarre
Saquon Barkley is making millions and just won a Super Bowl. Seems to me he turned out just fine.

Jeezie, you are the whitest dude in Boxing Scene if you don't get it. Daaaaaamn, it does not get whiter than you. WTF. The use of the word "schmuck" and "bizarre" to describe what is "life" for Barkley is a clear indication of your all American whiteness. You have not lived where everyone lived. Avoid discussions where you can't relate to the lifestyles and attitudes of black fathers and sons in locations where you would be afraid to walk down the street without police escort.

As it turned out he succeeded in American Football. Which is a 1:1,000,000 chance. A criminal record will ruin any child's life, but more particularly a black child. If you want your kid to fight take him (or her) to the gym where there are no knives & if he beats a guy up that guy won't come back half hour later with 5 older siblings all tooled-up. I am not changing my opinion that encouraging your child to fight on the street is just dumb-ass.

Love watching people expose their bias while claiming others are biased. Beterbiev turned pro late and only 3 years before Ortiz. So the wear and tear isn’t that of a typical 40 yr old. He’s also more sound defensively than Ortiz, more durable and didn’t nearly kill himself being a weight bully. Ortiz won’t last long.

Yet you do the same, if not more, level of weeping in the mailbag comments section in a weekly basis. Maybe don’t read it if it makes you so emotional.

Nothing wrong with being white nor using "schmuck" or "bizarre" as adjectives.....
