Dubois was elevated to the real title holder by the win against Joshua.

Usyk doesn`t have IBF belt anymore.

Sniffles trying to cheat his way to an Usyk unification shot by ducking Parker just came back to bite him in the arse...good job!

All roads lead to The Mighty Oilskin...

I will stop short of saying "ducking". DuBois does not have a history of avoiding big fights, so I will assume he was hurt for real. But still- Parker was there, and he put his wining streak on the line while DuBois did not. Parker deserves this shot more. As an Usyk fan, I kind of want to see him get the undisputed title he won back, so I would not mind him fighting DuBois and winning nearly every round again. Not to mention he could silence all this "DuBois got ripped off and was about to win" nonsense over the low blow. But Parker has earned the chance to get a title back, He rebuilt his career the hard way and should be rewarded.

The Brits love their rematch clauses. That's why he had to fight AJ twice as well. You want to blame anyone, blame the guys who inserted rematch clauses.
Tyson Fury did have a rematch clause. But there was nothing stopping Oleksandr Uysk from defending his IBF titles, in the time frame between the first and second Fury vs Uysk fights. There was a time period of 7 month; the first fight took place on May 18th 2024. And their rematch was scheduled for December 21st 2024. That is in my opinion especially in this modern era of boxing, enough time for a Champion to make a mandatory defence'.

The facts are. Oleksandr Uysk could have done more to hold onto his IBF World titles 'He was not stripped of the IBF titles, he voluntary vacated the IBF titles. Because he did not want to adhere to the requirements and mandates of that organisation'.

Note: 'Sugar Ray Robinson had 201 fights in total. Henry Armstrong had 183 fights, once upon a time? Armstrong fought 27 times in one year.

Muhammad Ali got his jaw broken by Ken Norton in their first fight 'And even after such a injury, the rematch was less than 6 months later'.

There is no real excuse? If a fighter wants to be considered a genuine all-time great fighter 'Then the standards have already been set a very long time ago. Oleksandr Uysk is a great Champion, within today's era of Heavyweight fighters. But he definitively could have done more to hold onto his IBF World Heavyweight titles'.

And I see completely no reason why Joseph Parker should not fight Oleksandr Uysk next for the WBO World Heavyweight titles 'There was no real controversy in Dubois vs Uysk I. Daniel Dubois being the front runner at top level like is, was already beginning to fade badly vs Oleksandr Uysk by the time he landed the supposed body punch. Yes Uysk may have introduced some gamesmanship into his tactics, regardless still? If Dubois was on top in that fight, he should have been able to carry that moment forward once the action commenced'.

Instead Daniel Dubois weighing in at 233 pounds for his fight vs Oleksandr Uysk 'The reason why I mentioned that statistics, is because it shows that Daniel Dubois and his team tactically trained to maximised his speed and endurance. Even with such meticulous and well strategized tactics in training, Daniel Dubois's endurance levels were worst than both Tyson Fury's and Anthony Joshua's vs Oleksandr Uysk. Dubois was done by the middle rounds, and then knocked out by a Jab inside 9 rounds'.

Out of Fury, Joshua and Dubois 'Daniel Dubois in my opinion, produced by far the worst effort overall in comparison to those other fighters. I think skill for skill it was very clear that Daniel Dubois was nowhere near the level of Oleksandr Uysk, Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua'.

To conclude: But back onto the topic of Oleksandr Uysk 'If he is a Champion of an organisation then he needs to defend his titles. People within the boxing community should not just pick and chose who they? Are lenient against when it comes to the standards of being a Champion'.

Anthony Joshua as a World Heavyweight Champion 'Never vacated or avoided any mandatory fights. Anthony Joshua lost all of his World titles inside the ring, while gallantly attempting to hold onto those titles. Deontay Wilder also as the WBC Champion conducted himself in a similar manner; Wilder defended his WBC World heavyweight titles 10 times. It took the greatest Heavyweight rivalry and trilogy since Evander Holyfield and Rid**** Bowe, that level of a battle in terms of magnitude. For Deontay Wilder to eventually have his WBC Heavyweight titles taken from him, when he fought the Tyson Fury in their trilogy boxing battle'.

I personally have not got any issues with rematches 'Long time reigning Champions, deserve rematch fights. Especially if they are only losing fights on points over the distance. Both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua deserved an immediate rematch vs Oleksandr Uysk II'.

Rematches are actually how competitive rivalries and story lines are created in boxing 'They are definitively a significant and important part of the sport' etc.

You need to stop talking about facts and then inserting your supposition.

Rematch clauses do not permit fights in the interim unless the holder signs off on it, because if the opponent takes a fight and loses it, it devalues the rematch. That's quadruply true when you're talking about a rematch for an undisputed title fight.

Fury had an IMMEDIATE rematch clause. No fights to be taken in the interim. I personally think rematch clauses are asin1ne, and only worthwhile when there's major controversy. But they are legally binding. Both fighters went into that first fight knowing Usyk would be stripped of the IBF belt if Usyk won and Fury activated his rematch, as indeed happened.

And let's be real. Why on earth would it be better to take a huge contractual penalty to take a rematch vs Dubois, who he'd already beaten comprehensively and stopped despite being repeatedly fouled, rather than abide by the contract and rematch the guy who was still #2 in the division and had just held him to a close fight?

I usually respect your thoughts, but you are massively off base on this. Take a look at a fight contract with a rematch clause sometime if you can and educate yourself on how they work. If you want to blame someone, blame the IBF for letting a guy who just lost to the champ back into a mandatory position.

He walked into Wembley as full champion. Dubois was elevated to full in June as soon as Usyk agreed to vacate.

Dubois was elevated when Usyk vacated ahead of being stripped because he was contractually tied to rematch Fury next. He entered the ring as IBF champ vs Joshua.

I'd also like to point out that Usyk declined to have a rematch clause put into the second fight vs Fury when he was the A-side, nor did he have a rematch clause for the second fight vs AJ. If he'd lost either fight, he'd have been having to rebuild back to a title shot. He didn't have a rematch clause vs Dubois either. He's never once had a rematch clause as the A-side. So people need to put some respect on his name. He's been winning these fights as the underdog in enemy territory his whole career, and haters still want to blame him for abiding by legal contracts forced on him by AJ, Fury, etc. AJ even had a rematch clause that he declined to activate as the challenger vs Dubois.

Good luck juggling 5 silos of mandatory challengers without hitting the STRIP button.
At least at Heavyweight, there is an iron-clad, universally acknowledged, 140 year old Lineal title under the modern rules. The rest of the sport has to rely on Los Banditos for title clarity.
The Lineal Heavyweight champion is all that has ever mattered because it's settled in the ring.

Today, an "undisputed champion" (who's really "dis*****g" that Usyk beat Fury and Fury beat Klitschko, anyway?), can plan on being the holder of all the belts for a very short time (Usyk lasted just 39 days before voluntarily jettisoning the IBF strap, seeing the strip coming).

Sanctioning bodies make more when titles are not unified.

So today, the top (soon to become mandatory) challengers are:

                      WBC
                      1. Agit Kabayel (Interim champion)
                      2. Lawrence Okolie
                      3. Anthony Joshua

                      WBA
                      1. Kubrat Pulev (Regular champion)
                      2. Fabio Wardley
                      3. Michael Hunter

                      IBF
                      1. Derek Chisora
                      2. Efe Ajagba
                      3. Frank Sanchez

                      WBO
                      1. Joseph Parker (Interim champion)
                      2. Justice Huni
                      3. Moses Itauma

                      IBO
                      1. Granit Shala
                      2. Joseph Parker
                      3. Tyson Fury

......Good luck walking all those obligations down before the deadlines hit.
