Watched Bam as he just turned pro and saw massive potential.

One of my favourite fighters. Early 20's with already a top resume.

    So excited for his career.

He should absolutely take the fights against Chocolatito and Ioka if he can get them. As well as a unification with Cafu if it comes along. Bam just turned 25, he has plenty of time to move up and seek more challenges. Chocolatito and Ioka are fantastic warriors to have on his resume.
Please explain how 1 victory in almost 3 years vs a bum still makes him one of the best in the division? Everyone criticizes Benavidez for fighting a 37 year old Gvozdyk with 20 pro fights, yet fan boys like you defend him fighting a 40 year old inactive flyweight with 60 fights. Pathetic bias.

Bam's whole career has been built of fighting washed up names, on the wrong side of 35, and the great sunny edwards who just got smoked by a rookie with 8 fights. Wanting him to beat on a worn out 40 year old just for the name on his resume is pathetic.

Nakatani is not going to fight Bam before he gets the Inoue fight. That's just pure fantasy.

Many people had Chocolatito beating Estrada in their 3rd fight, and their 2nd fight. Boxrec has the third fight 115-114 Chocolatito based on the average of 128 fan scores, and the second fight 116-112 Chocolatito based on 145 fan scores. Losing two razor thin fights that could've gone either way to the then-lineal champion doesn't make a guy washed up. Especially given his schooling of Julio Cesar Martinez in between those two fights.

Gonzalez is 37 and fought this past July. He's neither 40 nor inactive. He'd be favored against most fighters in the super flyweight division right now.

So having close fights with a past prime Estrada almost 3 years ago proves he a top fighter in the division today? 1 fight in almost 3 years is active? Not even being ranked in the division top 10 means your a top fighter in the division? You are literally just saying nonsense.

If Bam fights choco its a cherry pick, consistent with his whole career. When he is going to fight someone good in their prime?

Junto is now promoted by Top Rank and seeing Arum and Eddie not get along at all regarding Inoue-MJ to the point MJ's manager it now getting a contract negotiation directly with Ohashi for September in Japan, I don't see it happening in US but Saudi maybe.

Estrada was the reigning lineal champion when both Chocolatito and Rodriguez fought him.

Edwards was the consensus #1 at 112. Undefeated, reigning IBF world titlist making his 5th defense.

Guevara, Cuadras, and Sor Rungvisai were all ranked by the TBRB, ESPN, and The Ring when he fought them.

For a 25 year old fighter his resume is already fantastic, and he's fighting #1 Fernando Martinez next.

Before his first fight as a 25 year old, this was Naoya Inoue's resume:
                  W vs #10 Ryoichi Taguchi UD 10 (ftr. WBA/IBF/Ring 108)
W vs #1 Adrian Hernandez TKO 6 (fmr. and reigning WBC 108)
W vs #1 Omar Narvaez KO 2 (fmr. WBO 112; reigning WBO 115)
                  W vs #8 Kohei Kono TKO 6 (fmr. 2X WBA 112)

He fought #5 Jamie McDonnell next, a former IBF 118 world titlist and a WBA secondary fake belt holder.

And this is Rodriguez's resume before his 1st fight as a 25 year old:
W vs #8 Carlos Cuadras UD 12 (fmr. WBC 115)
                  W vs #2 Srisaket Sor Rungvisai TKO 8 (fmr WBC 115; lineal/TBRB/Ring/WBC 115)
W vs #1 Sunny Edwards RTD 9 (reigning IBF 112)
                  W vs #C Juan Francisco Estrada KO 7 (fmr. WBA/WBO 112; WBA 115; reigning lineal/TBRB/Ring/WBC 115)
W vs #7 Pedro Guevara TKO 3 (fmr. WBC 112)

His next fight is against #1 Fernando Martinez, a reigning WBA 115 titlist and former unified titlist.

I like this fight, both fighters are all action. I think this is Bam's big test against a young hungry champion.

After Bam knocks him out all of his detractors will point out that Martinez is 33, then demand Bam moves up two weight classes to fight Inoue next.
