It allows you to take a knee and even sit for a few minutes of need so.
You can also go back to your corner and have a drink, a Pepsi or coke or whatever suits you.

Best thing in this new era is no one looses, you just get a draw.

The most awesome years in Boxing are still to come!

    Enjoy!
    lol

thats a good idea hey award yourself a 5 min timeout after the knee for a bit of a rest, like after a low blow but there is no low blow LMAOOOOO

      Insane

It's not just the knee it's the fact he just let him go to his corner to get wiped down with a towel in the middle of a round

I remember when Muhammad Ali, in the Liston fight, got a foreign substance rubbed in his eyes that burned his eyes for a round or two. He fought through it and shook up the world.

        How times have changed.

My exact thoughts. Something in your eye? Took a knee to correct the condition? Cool. 10-8 round.

Why is he fighting with grease in his hair anyway? I'll be honest I do not know the rules regarding this but I can not imagine its legal or you're allowed any sort of product in your hair.

My point being surely this could be used as a weapon if you will & to gain an unfair advantage with heads coming together, trying to wipe it in your opponents eye or a cut

He's not. He's full of Sht. Like the mango mussolini. He will say anything in the moment even if every moment around it proves the opposite.

                Don't care either way, but
                Tank wasn't hurt
Did not take a knee due to that nearly missed punch

If Tank was buzzed in any way, there was plenty of time for LRJ to finish him off.
A 2 second time out would not be enough, if Tank was trying to buy time to recover.

I feel people dislike him enough where even a non incident like this, coupled with the huge odds in his favor (1800) can make fight fans fume.

It literally makes zero difference whether or not he was hurt. He got hit with a legal, scoring punch and then took a knee. That's a knockdown. This isn't freaking Tekken where you have a lifebar.

It's a knockdown whether a punch lands or not.

If a fighter takes a knee for any reason it's a knockdown.

For example Miguel Cotto took a knee vs Antonio Margarito when no punch was thrown, so he took a count.

Mayweather's turned his back and touched his glove on the canvass when he broke his hand vs Carlos Hernandez, so he took a count.

Used an awkward way of doing it
The fight resumed 2 seconds later.....
