Artur Beterbiev is just too predictable. He fights in only one gear. If he doesn't get the knockout; Then chances are he is going to lose the bout on the scorecards.

I watched and scored this fight very closely and under great scrutiny. I wanted to be very fair and unbiased to Beterbiev; Since many boxing fans thought he had won the first fight.

However, I wasn't one of them. So I had to go back to rewatch the rematch in order to see if I can find anything that I might have missed.

Like initially, I scored the third round for Beterbiev. However, after rewatching the replay, I ended up giving that round to Bivol.

In addition, I initially scored round ten for Bivol but upon further inspection; I ended up flipping it for Beterbiev. Then there was round twelve. Originally, I ended up giving that round to Bivol.

It was a close round but after rewatching it; I thought that Beterbiev landed the harder punches in that round and ended up giving it to him.

In any case, I thought the right man won. My final tally in rounds were 7-5 in favor of Dmitry Bivol. Which translates into 115-113 victory for Dmitry Bivol.

However, had I scored all the close rounds even; Then I would have ended with a score of 118-116 in favor of Dmitry Bivol. Moreover, had I gave all the close swing rounds to Beterbiev. Then I would have ended scoring the fight a Draw 114-114.
I believe that I can accept a draw or 115-113 for Beterbiev, but I'm not sure about a victory for Bivol, especially not the 116-112 score. How does he win while backing up most of the night? Also, I find it interesting that Artur all but conceded that he may not have done enough to win the first fight, yet was clearly annoyed at the score cards this time around.

Of course, Canelo's not the only break out fight for Benny and he obviously agrees, hence the move up to LHW. But as for raising his stock more vs Canelo than vs Bivol? I'd say it's pretty damn close!

          Bivol 116-112

          Bivol 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
          Artur 4, 5, 6, 12

unlike fight 1 Bivol was still active in most of the rounds that Artur won

          It wasn’t like fight 1’s rounds 10 and 11

Shakur gets called a runner but Bivol gets called a master boxer

Honestly , you just can’t make this chit up

Seeing as Canelo is 6 years older than Benavidez, I'd say that waiting longer favors David. So, you try to justify Alvarez's cowardice by saying that Benavidez can't beat him anyway! And you feel that Benny is a cherry pick for Canelo! Hilarious!

If Bivol avoids a 3rd fight I’ll see him differently. They deserve a 3rd fight. Smith can fight Benavidez.

If he was early 30s thats a different story but thats not the case now

a 3rd fight really will just take a lot out of bivol's prime. beterbiev has retired guys, a lot were never the same, bivol has had two rough close fights with him, that has had to have some effect, i like bivol too and hes younger hes got time in his career. i dont want to see someone like a benavidez beat a softened up bivol after fight 3 when i know bivol schools him.

you can tell when bivol hesitated to agree to fight 3 and just said he wants to rest, hes playing that out in his head he dont really want to go through that again.

beterbiev can still beat anyone else at 175 i think that is clear. if he wants to fight again then sure or retire on that turki money
You're probably right BUT I'd bet that Bivol has already had something taken out of him from both the Beterbiev fights. He's not going to improve from this point on. If anything his downward slide may already be in progressive, after those 2 recent fights.

Bivol will fight Callum Smith before Benavidez. Wait and see.
