This is concerning…I just re-watched Bakole’s beatdown of Anderson and although it was an impressive performance, I was SHOCKED at how quickly he became gassed plus how many clean shots he was eating.

Therefore, how will he perform with an additional 30lbs on him?

The last high profile HW fight that had someone come in way overweight and didn't bother training was Fat Andy, we all know how horrible he performed. I'll give Bakole 3-4 competitive rounds and then he'll gas worst than Zhang. Parker might even get a ref stoppage late in the fight.

Tell you what, watching the highlights from the Anderson fight, Bakole had fast feet when he was getting after Anderson after he hurt him. Otherwise he stands and counters, but boy did he look dangerous that fight.

If both men had had full camps I would have picked Parker to win on points, then changed my pick to Bakole by KO after Parker weighed in stupidly heavy. But under these circumstances, with Bakole coming in at 310lbs on 2 days notice, my pick is still Parker on points.

Parker trains at the same gym as Tyson Fury and he has the same S&C coach, George Lockhart. From listening to interviews with Fury, singing Lockhart's praises, his S&C regime could be summed up as, eat tons of food, lift tons of weight, Get up!!!

Great if you are training for an eating contest with Andy Ruiz, not so great for a boxing match.

lol I had no idea who Parker's S&C coach was. His increased weight was a bit odd, but I had thought he gained it in an intelligent way, without sacrificing too much speed and stamina. Now I'm questioning if Parker will also gass easily and we'll get a hugfest lol

Yes! But that extra 30 pounds... I am concerned.

Yeah... I did not realize Bakole was untrained... Not a good development.

Yeah, I like Parker in this one. Might have been different if Bakole had a full training camp, but I've been wrong twice about Parker, so I'm not picking against him this time. He'll show us whether Bakole is world level or not.

Exactly ... I hope Bakole can move a bit 30 extra pounds!

That's what Joe and Andy Lee are saying they did, and they did it deliberately. Maybe it will pay off, but I don't remember ever seeing a HW whose all round game was improved by deliberately bulking up. 240lb is plenty big enough for a man with Parker's frame. I don't see how gaining nearly 30lbs extra muscle is going to help him, and it is bound to have a negative effect on his stamina.
