What little fighting spirit he had, Bakole snatched.

Comments Thread For: Jared Anderson criticized by Top Rank matchmaker after win over Marios Kollias

Top Rank shouldn't be criticizing Anderson publicly but he has been a pain in the ass for them. They hyped him up quite a bit and tried to match him carefully (I think they do that fairly well for most of their stable). He had the drama with the legal issues, the public comments about his lack of interest in the sport, the decision for the money-grab against Bakole and some lackluster performances against Merhy and the Greek.
That's everything we know about, however my guess is it's the tip of the iceberg with Jared and likely don't know all the behind the scenes drama. I hope he gets his priorities straight (whatever they may be).

Really strange - if you genuinely want him to improve, in the ring and out, these are not the kind of conversations to have in public.
I think the rant was more towards Anderson behavior throughout the fight... He seemed completely out of his focus zone talking shyte the whole fight ... Child King with no common sense...Last edited by Superbee; 02-15-2025, 02:35 PM.

It's a completely different situation between the two with their mentality of why they are boxing. Also Anderson is one slip up away from doing a stretch in the state pen for one crime or another.

He seems similar to a Buster Douglas type. Buster got it together in his head for 1 fight and that's all it took to make him a household name forever. The problem is there is no Mike Tyson these days as boxing is the closest to being irrelevant as it's ever been. Anyway there were the warning signs about Anderson's commitment as many here have detailed. As it relates especially to contact sports, if your head and heart are not there, you need to get out altogether before you get hurt.
