There's no one currently fighting that I would put money on to beat him. Not Usyk and certainly not Dubois.

Then this fight may be more competitive than people expect.
......
To conclude: Martin Bakole should beat Efe Ajagba, but? Ajagba is most likely in better condition than Bakole and skill for skill in my opinion he is the better boxer. Ajagba was a solid level Amateur fighter who has won medals at multiple global championships'. If Martin Bakole can beat Efe Ajagba, I would say that this is his first real solid level win 'I would personally rate this win higher than his last win against, the domestic level American Heavyweight' etc.
I don't really see this fight as a step up from wins over Yoka, Takam or even Kuzmin. I'm not sure Ajagba beats any of those guys on the night Bakole beat them. Efe's best win was probably Demirezen, maybe Stephen Shaw...not that impressed with his resume.MulaKO likes this.

I just don't rate Martin Bakale skill for skill, and? His lack of abilities in that area may show up in this fight. Efe Ajagba and his team, have got to be aware that 'They have to avoid Bakale's power, and essentially just out boxed him. So, I want to see how Bakole reacts in that sort of situation'.
The last time Bakole was in a fight were he encountered serious resistance 'The facts are he did not overcome that resistance to win. Michael Hunter a former cruiserweight fighter, who was not really renowned for his power punching or brute strength. In a competitive fight, beat down Bakole'.
Note: I will admit that Efe Ajagba's resume is not super impressive, but? He has been involved in fights, were there has been heavy resistance for him to overcome. Like during his last fight against Guido Vianello. Which was a very similar fight, and situation to the Michael Hunter vs Martin Bakole fight. Efe Ajagba when he found himself in that fight situation, reacted and withstood that level of violence better than Martin Bakole.
So, if this fight between Bakole and Ajagba develops in to that kind of fight 'And Ajagba is able to ether evade or withstand Bakole's power enough for him to stay in the fight. That kind of match up will now put serious pressure on the fighters overall conditioning, and skill for skill ability to accumulative points over the distance'.
In that sort of fight, with that type of action 'I will give Efe Ajagba a chance of beating Martin Bakole'.
To conclude: Martin Bakole is the big favourite to win in my perspective, and he should win this fight 'But I just wonder? How he performs in this fight could potentially alter the universal perception the boxing community and media currently have of him. Bakole's aura of intimidation, is at its absolute peak. The media and even certain folk from within the boxing community are constantly amplifying his brute strength and power'.
There is a big potential that after this fight, even during a win 'That the Bakole's aura of intimidation, may be altered dramatically'. If he is dropping rounds consistently to Ajagba, and being whacked. There is no way in my opinion, Martin Bakole should be rated as a Elite level threat to the top level heavyweight fighters'
I would back Anthony Joshua to beat Martin Bakole 'Stylistically outside of the brute strength and power. I don't regard that match up as a super difficult fight for Joshua. Bakole's boxing ability, is miles below Joshua's'.
For me to rate Martin Bakole as a World to Elite level threat 'I need to see more of his game, against top level fighters' etc.
