Ok, I got the name wrong It was the kid from Ohio, I believe it was Bakoles last fight? Hunter is a typical workman like fighter in the division. He actually was fairly competitive against USYK for a bit lol. It shows that in a division with good boxers Bakole would not have it so easy, although I do believe he is legitimately a talented force to be reckoned with. He has certainly gotten better since that fight.Comment

Apologies bird song and thanks to iron Dan... I believe the fighter I was confused with confused me because both Anderson and Miller go by the moniker "Big Baby." Early onset dementia lol.Comment

Never thought much of Anderson and actually made some money picking Bakole
I also like to see how the promoters are bringing these guys up
That in itself is very telling if a boxer is for real
Top Rank really dragged their feet with him and now we All know whyComment

Top rank and all the promoters drag their feet regardless lol. I agree with you. basically the kid had a jab. And when your fighting poor comp then come up against someone who can crush! But that is how they bring all these guys along... Which is why they crumble.Comment

Not only that , his comments about money being his source of inspiration was kind of revealing imo
I always suspected his chin wasn’t that great and the fact that he got hit in bunches was anotherComment

Oh his chin may well be decent. Bakole hits very hard. Jarod's problem was he had no way, no concept of how to move in the ring... By comparison, One can watch Liston fights and see guys on their toes, avoiding his shots, at least to a degree... Jarod was conditioned to believe this would be unnecessary... That his jab could defend him, because like 90% of the division, is power would give him an escape. When it didn't he had no other skills to use... It is symptomatic of a training environment where the subtle skills are being lost, guys are being sheltered, and unprepared, because they are being trained in an amateur style... Then they are thrown to the wolves.
Things would be different if Jarod fought Bakole two years ago... (or some other time in the past), was fighting at least twice a year, and learning while losing... But he is too far along and I believe this lost was devastating to him.
