As for how boots will beat him? Boots is an ambidextrous switch hitter. Oscar will shoe shine as always, but ran out of gas by the 5th and 6th as always, then he’ll start getting beat up. Boots is an underrated body puncher, too. Oscar’s chance, albeit a slim one, is to catch Boots with his signature left hook ala Oba Carr, if not he’ll be outboxed.

Oscar, Cotto and Ricky Hatton all have the same issue. They are converted orthodox fighters. Meaning, they fight from the orthodox stand without a right hand. Freddy was aware of this and knew they would be easy pickings for a true south paw like Manny. When they throw their signature powerful left, they have nothing coming from the right and always open for that straight left from a south paw.
Is this a joke? Bootsy beats Oscar? Wtf? I’m not even gonna start with this nonsense bread man said he’s good in sparring now he’s beating HOFamers ATGs withought ever fighting someone with a pulse lmao. Kids today…

Bro…Ortiz is huge fight. He’s also the secondary champion at 154 so beat Ortiz and you’re next for the champ fundora. You’re right in the mix with all the big names JUST LIKE YOU KEEP SAYING YOU WANT. Look at every interview he says he wants any big name anybody blah blah then when he gets the chance he ducks. Tale as old as time. Seen before I’ll see it again. Young tenders saying short will you be my man. lol. Boots ya a bum enjoy your big unification with barrios followed by a fight with Conor benn. Pathetic

A huge fight in what world? Lmaoooo. It has the potential to be a huge fight but right now it’s an undercard fight between an email champ and a 0 time champ. Foh with this secondary title shyt. When have you ever heard anyone say, he’s a secondary champ, to try and use that as incentive ? Lol

With all due respect, that's only an undercard fight on a stacked Turki card. Truth be told, both Boots and Virgil will always be fighting as an undercard fight on a stacked Turki card no matter who they're fighting, with the exception of Turki's pet Bud,"maybe".

Boots vs Virgil is the main event if it were a Matchroom promoted fight or GBP promoted fight.

Bro you are just making excuses as to why bootsy couldn’t and wouldn’t fight Ortiz. You are ignoring the fact he’s 28 and never had a single credible opponent after calling people out. He’s called out crawford and Ortiz and when it came down to it he DUCKED both. Bootsy was the IBF mandatory Crawford’s mando and he abandoned that then went around telling everyone he wanted to fight Crawford lmao. Then he went around telling everyone he wanted Ortiz or any of the names at 154 and when Ortiz obliged him he turned and ducked him. It’s pathetic and only slurper fans accept it

Point being is that it has the potential
to be a headliner for a ppv event with both accomplishing more than they currently have. Right now it’s not a massive fight. There were better/more popular fights on hbo after dark back in the day.

I’m not making excuses for anyone but just being realistic as someone who knows how boxing works. As I mentioned, your stance is based purely on emotion, not logic. Just like you saying it’s impossible that he could “throw Oscar off” while acting as if Ortiz has been on some legendary run. I personally would love to see the fight and wish it were happening next. But I also understand that a boxer who is a champion at 147 would prefer to unify his division as opposed to moving up a weight class to fight someone who has never held a single title and arguably deserved to lose his last fight. What’s the incentive? To appease Ortiz fan boys?
It’s funny because you’re pro Canelo despite him committing the most blatant duck in the sport. You're pro Ryan despite him being a proven cheater but you’re anti Benavidez despite him trying to make the best fights he can and anti boots for preferring to unify in his division as opposed to moving up to fight a contender. Quite hypocritical, would you say?

Can it be a bigger fight down the road if they both keep on winning?? Of course it can, but I honestly don't think it's ever a massive fight. A good fight? yes and a headlning bout as well, but it's a headlining bout right now under Matchroom or GBP promotions.

For the record, I don't mind Boots staying at 147 if he's gonna unify, but I would have loved to have seen him fight Virgil. He went on record after fighting Karen that his poor performance could have been due to lack of motivation, but assured all that were viewing/listening that fighting at 154 would bring out the best of Boots...

I want to see the best of Boots and he's on record stating that 154 would bring out the best in him...

Just like he’s on record calling out fighters only to run once they accept
