Unifying titles is never a joke. Passing on that to fight a 0 time champ who arguably lost his last fight is bad business.

Kids today? I am probably older than you. I am watching boxing since the 80s. Oscar is an overrated fighter. Lost all his big fights and the names he won they were past prime or he was gifted the decisions. Whittaker, Forbes, Sturm, Quartey, etc. Oscar was a very limited fighter. I was asked how I believe Boots would beat Oscar and I gave my opinion based on my experience. I knew of Oscar and Byrd from Barcelona olympics and followed their careers.

Oscar is a converted orthodox fighter who is limited like Cotto and Hatton. Oscar and Coffo both have good jabs because they jab from their power hand, but nothing really comes behind their jab naturally/instinctively, so they are easily read by fighters with good boxing IQ.

I need to hear how you think Oscar will beat Boots?

Jab and his feet. Boots has 0 footwork he couldn’t even cut off Karen lmao. Karen was landing basically at will dude just had 0 pop and looked a weight class smaller than bootsy. Oscar beats bootsy EASILY. It’s not even close. As I said..kids today…lmao. You are saying this bootsy kid who’s 28 and never fought a fighter with a pulse and was eating leather and big shots off some European cab driver. By the time Oscar was 28 his resume was beyond what bootsy can do in his whole career. Keep drinking your kool aid kiddo I’ll see you in the funny pages lol

You obviously place more weight on alphabet titles mostly held by cab drivers and unknowns (barrios bum) (Norman jr stannois). You refuse to pay attention to anything except “unifying the titles trumps everything”. Maybe in an era where there wasn’t 5-6 champions and interim champions per division. I don’t know why you don’t want bootsy in against elite guys if he’s so great why won’t he fight anyone? Stop being emotional and give an adequate articulate statement about how a unification between anyone at 147 is a bigger more prestigious fight than beating Ortiz jr atm? Not only would bootsy receive the flowers and accolades with the win..he gets an interim belt and the next shot at the winner of fundora vs Spence or possibly Crawford. Instead you wanna see this guy fight Mario barrios? Norman jr? Stannois? Over anyone at 154? Weirdo lmao

And regardless of what you say, for fighters that are still working their way up, titles are more prestigious. Maybe not to a long time established champ but to fighters that still are trying to build up their accomplishments, it definitely does. You are here thinking Boots will fight the same fight? Karen’s both losses came at the hands of Boots. Boots was basically fighting reckless because he has no respect for the guy’s power and wanted to knock him out. Sometimes, not all knockouts come easy. That was a Rookie mistake underestimating your opponent; however, Boots would come fully charged against Oscar.

Oscar’s feet and his lack of right hand is exactly why he lost to Trinidad. You are telling me Oscar will run against Boots? Boots will be shooting two guns like Trinidad with more fluidity and variety of body punches. I always felt Trinidad was head hunting Oscar too much. Had he gone to Oscar’s body like I know Boots would do, the fight would have been short lived.
