You see, another excuse. Contact sports, in this case boxing, is the only instantance where you can beat up a guy you don't like, and go back home, not to jail and still getting pay. He's afraid of losing and he will suffer for it, give it time. His resume is littered with undersized, 2nd and third tier boxers and old past their prime fighters.Comment

But he liked Charlo so much? Why wouldn't he like David who was nothing but respectful for years even after Canelo chose Charlo, David refused to accuse Canelo of ducking him.Comment

My man is a drug cheat with a trainer who spent a good stretch having his fighters fail ped test, Canelo gets major passes but his wins will not age well af all. Much like Floyd feels the need to constantly remind us how great he is becuase a huge chunk of his fights were against no hopers too. Imho much like fury people give Canelo a pass for his distasteful shhhh just like Floyd fans did for him. The one and only legitimate threat a non green Canelo had was golovkin and one can argue despite aging out his opponent he lost the two first fights, this isn’t just me every damn poll on both fights out there favor him having taken a loss. People love to be fans of the perceived biggest name in an anything. This dude has been a dirty af fight his entire career and the Reynosos did a great job building a monster factory around him of no name fighters who had to under go vada as their guinea pigs. People also rate the bulk of his opponents way too highly based on the name not the condition they were in. You cannot name more than ten fighters on his resume of nearly 70 fights to have an argument over and that’s saying plenty but us older boxing heads have seen, give it enough time for the emotions and homers to find the next bandwagon and you get the truth about his stance in the sport.
Nah I don’t even think Canelo is that amazing but I do respect his body of work despite the obvious detrimental factors. No one in the sport today can boast a resume as accomplished as his and thats a fact regardless on if you think he won or lost a specific fight he started at 140 and won titles all the way up to 175.benevidez best win is decision over a guy canelo Knocked out using half as many punches. As I said all the bumavidez lickers gonna cry their eyes out on Feb 1 when morrel ends the hype trainComment

Post a source of quote for the so-called retraction, please. Because as far as I'm concerned that BS on your part.
Team Benavidez untimtely retracted that statement. No such offer was made by Haymon to fight David. In fact, Haymon did not even push that issue when Canelo decided to fight for Haymon and his group. Besides Canelo made around 40 million for each of the other fights under Haymon's banner. The reality is that Canelo doesn't give 2 figs what we think. For a grade school dropout he understands boxing is a business and knows the key in business is to manage risk and reward.
You have no idea whether Haymon pushed the issue or not. Were you in the room negotiating with him? Haymon couldn't force Canelo to fight Benavidez. If Canelo rejected it what would be the point of Hayman pushing it?
The fact remains that Benavidez was Canelo's mandatory. Just like Avni Yildrim who Canelo didn't hesitate to fight. You think he made more in that fight than he would have with Benavidez?
The reality is that Canelo shamelessly ducked Benavidez. That's all that matters to me. I couldn't give 2 fks about what Canelo thinks about what I think. For someone who claims to be neutral you sure are coming up with a lot of lame excuses for Canelo.Last edited by joseph5620; 12-29-2024, 09:42 PM.Comment
