David strikes you as a ducker really? Plant, Andrade, Gvozdyk , Morrell, certainly not a list of fighters for a ducker. Infact I would say nobody in the sport has had 4 risky fights like that in a row in recent times.I honestly don't think Benavidez will fight the winner, if he even gets past Morrell, who I think he's only fighting now because he's out of options. Canelo ran out of options a while ago, but at least he has enough of a name to bilk the gullible. Benny doesn't have that luxury, and in some cases a loss can make damn sure he never does.Comment

Bivol definitely has a path to victory that I didn't expected before first fight.Originally posted by SouthpawRightBivol hits hard enough
Artur’s good 7/10 chin was buzzed twice by Bivol’s left hook
Bivol like Floyd is cursed with glass hands
Bivol developed his style to work with his fragile hands
to preserve his hands he won’t sit down on his shots
fight 2 will be explosive. Bivol best shot at KO’ing Artur would be to catch Artur coming in. Use Artur’s come forward momentum against him to land a sweet collision strikeComment

Beter will win a rematch and move to up the CW.
All belts will be vacated. No easy path to grab them all in one fight.Comment

Age and size advantages came into play with all of those except Morrell. Not saying he's a ducker, but his zero has had extra protection up until now.Comment

It’s a dumb question who’s going to win. The powers that be want a trilogy of courses the only way that changes is if Artur KO’s Bivol.David Benavidez has tipped Dmitry Bivol to beat Artur Beterbiev in their light heavyweight title rematch, which is slated to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 22.

Age and size? Do you use that criteria for every fighter, like Bam who just fights inactive old men? David size has been exaggerated. Plant and Andrade was almost as big.Comment

I use that criteria amongst other factors, yes. For all fighters.
Fact of the matter is, David's record is filled with guys either separated by nearly decades in age, or divisions in weight. The closest he got in age was Kryone Davis who was a last-second middleweight who gave him minor problems, and Plant who was probably closest in weight who definitely gave him problems. Morrell is his size and age (younger even). His talent needed in putting away Benny, we'll find that out or not on fight night, but those age/weight factors Benny has relied so heavily upon, they're gone.Comment

When your the youngest division in the divisions history you are going be younger than most of your opponents, which also means far less experienced. He fought a 35-1 veteran for the title when he was just 22 years old when he only had 20 fights. Plant was 31 and in his prime. Why did you even mention a last minute replacement in Davis when that is not one of his top wins? Canelo also had a huge age advantage of most of his opponents. What do you mean separated by divisions in weight when they both made the weight. Andrade was 190lbs in the ring, and Benavidez was only 189 in the ring vs Gvozdyk.

I wasn't discussing his top wins. I was discussing the disparity in weight and age with his opponents. Davis was mentioned as he was an anomaly to the argument.
Yes, and I try to factor that in when he's facing older opponents. One of the reasons why I never gave him full credit for KOing Kovalev. But I'm not talking about Canelo. I was talking about Benavidez.
Had Andrade made a career fighting at that weight? Putting on and/or dropping the weight and using it properly are two separate things.Comment
