Benavidez is looking too far in the future and talking about Bivol and Beterbiev and counting the money when he has a real tough fight in front of him. This is never a good idea as all champions will testify.

that makes at least two Mexicans who believe in come forward aggressive style scoring it for Bivol

      Robert Garcia

David had Bivol winning 8 or 7 rounds

Benavidez beats both though IMO. He's in his prime right now and in his most comfortable weight class. Now way in hell he's losing to anyone in their late 30's like Bivol and Beter.
If Bena beats the Olympian big puncher in fashion, I give him a BIG shot at beating the winner as well.

has to use feints along with juggling between the Soviet Step and Lateral so Artur cannot get the timing down for counters

Lateral Bivol stops Artur from fully cutting the ring off, but Steppe Bivol is better at fighting on the backfoot

without the Steppe Bivol output while backwards was low. He’d burst with combos in spurts or do the occasional check hook

I’m expecting fight 2 to be explosive and violent compared to 1

Artur starts faster coming forward aggressively throwing caution to the wind

if Artur can regularly get to Bivol’s body early, Artur can make openings for clean overhands to stop Bivol

Bivol comes into the rematch confident knowing three things. His left hook hurt Artur in fight 1, his chin can take a hard counter right from Artur, and that he’s physically stronger than Artur

Bivol has been sitting down on his lower hook on the pads in this training camp

He almost always hooks off of his right hand

Bivol could use left hook to Artur’s body more often this time around
I think lateral movement is smarter for Bivol especially early. Get Artur tired. I think Artur knows what he needs to do to win too. Should be a great fight. Artur feet looked ponderous in the last fight. Hopefully it’s not old age. He needs better feet to win.

Latinos and Russians are dominating the sport nowadays. Fans had Berlanga/Canelo weeks ago. The rest are still on vacation.

Nah you're way off. Let's be honest, if Bivol wins the rematch there's going to be a trilogy in late 2025. Meaning Benavidez fighting either of these two isn't going to happen until sometime 2026. Bene's not losing to anybody in their late 30's.

Oh yes, definitely. It'll be somewhat of a passing of the torch. 175 is loaded at the moment.

I also thought Bivol won the first fight by a couple of rounds but I also agree it was a competitive fight where Beterbiev surged late so I see how 50% of people scored it for him.
