Even calling usyk an ATG is too much imo for a guy with only 23 pro fights and a resume that is strong but not spectacular. These fan boys might overtake the Canelo ones.
    - - At 200lbs and above, Usyk for his pro career has been fighting bigger Heavies by weight than Ali and Evander. Also endured more by volume and advancement Drug Testing,

Of course U oracle more like gazing thru U carbuncle...yeah!!!

Historically there's been many which is another reason I'm not ready to crown him goat
Maybe you should dig up the Usyk fights when he was 13 years old, or do you have any records of him in 4th grade fighting on the playground that could help bolster your magnificent point.

Usyk is the ONLY Heavyweight of the current generation I truly believe could hang with the elite Heavyweights of the recent past e.g. Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield & Bowe and throughout history e.g. Ali, Marciano, Louis, Frazier etc.

Whilst I’m NOT necessarily saying he beats them all, he would definitely be able to give them a competitive fight and probably beat one or two which is still a great achievement for a career Cruiserweight.

To put things in perspective, Usyk is at LEAST as good a Heavyweight as the better Klitschko brother (Vitali) who was up on all 3 scorecards against Lewis before a doctor stopped the fight due to an eye injury.

Usyk is a GREAT f’ing fighter…put some respect on his name!

Usyk could clearly hang with the top guys in any era. As previously stated, there were worse fighters who gave the greats a hard night.

What I do find crazy is, if Usyk had been jobbed on the cards vs AJ, Fury, Chisora - then those small margins (chosen by the judges) wouldn’t have had people ranking Usyk in the top 3 let alone ATG rankings. People’s careers and legacy’s really do get screwed by bad judging/reffing.

            Usyk is a great fighter

but neither Fury nor Joshua are great

Fury is a very good while Joshua is good

the best thing about Usyk is he brings small man skills into the heavyweight division where most fall in love with power and do wild sht

I find that most drama and vitriol occurs with these nebulous rankings like all-time greats, pound for pound and mythical matchups.

It's so hard to compare over time because nutrition, sports technology, etc both evolve (and sometimes devolve). Usyk would likely do very well in any era.

DAZN have Usyk in their top 10 ATG HWs list. He belongs there. What he has accomplished in just 23 pro fights is incredible. He is 12 - 0 in world title fights, all on the road. And yes, 7 of those world title wins were at CW, but the guys he was beating were as big as HWs in previous eras.

Joe Frazier and George Foreman are also on DAZN's ATG list. They are both 5 - 2 in world title fights. At HW, Usyk is 5 - 0. The same number of world title fight wins as Frazier and Foreman, but with no losses.

Know what Usyk was doing when he was 21? Of course you don't

                    He was losing

                    To SHAWN PORTER
I think Usyk was 19 when he lost to Porter. And that was in the amateurs, of course, and at MW, not HW, so clearly, he was not as physically mature or as experienced as 21 year Ali, who was already a pro world champ at HW.

Did Ali lose any fights as a teenage amateur? Yes.

Is that relevant when talking about his resume as a pro? No, of course not.

GGG not getting the win he deserved in his 1st fight with Canelo to become undisputed MW champ springs to mind.
