Very true. Even if the objective is not monetary gain, doesn't anyone or his own people want to know what the viewership is;
how many people he's reaching for whatever message he's delivering?
TV shows and non PPVs are gauge in ratings, which may have different but similar objective -- attract viewers.
Let's stop repeating what is already given. He's not in it for the money. We already know that.
Is Turki Alalshikh getting a return from his investment in boxing?

What fighter with a massive fan base has Turki had on his cards?? Fury?? AJ???
He's had good cards, can't deny that but I don't think his PPV cards have done all that well..
His event in Los Angeles sure as heck didn't!Leave a comment:

Getting called ‘His Excellency’ and having his ass kissed by promoters and boxers worldwide is payment enough for Turki…Leave a comment:

Yeah, I'd like to know what Turki's PPV numbers are. I don't care if the Saudi promoter is not making any profit. But still, the numbers should be reported just like any PBC PPV fight. After all, they're twice cheaper. $39.95 in the US (£24.99 in the UK.)I doubt PBC/Amazon make any profit off of these PPVs as well. Except their fans and reporters still managed to release numbers.
If you think about it, Alalshikh's PPV figures are supposed to surpass whatever figures PBC supporters come up with
considering they're bigger and the Turki's PPV price is 60% cheaper. Yet nobody is reporting any number. Why is that?Leave a comment:

Incredibly somehow this thread will still run for about 10 pages.
it is an steady-drip acquisition of soft power by a nation on a literal global scale by legitimising them as western friendly and potential power brokers of the future.
Mad that people could ever think they are minutely worried about losing millions. They're happy enough to lose hundreds of billions ffs.Last edited by Sparked_26; 12-20-2024, 06:44 PM.Leave a comment:

Just say you're crying that pbc is dead and turki is spending money on making big fights happen. He's spending millions of $$$ on promotions alone. You could tell just by seeing so many moving parts in his press cons. Reality is only a few souls are spending money on their PPVs. It stands to reason people watch everything for free including those in the US. No difference. If they can pirate that, they can pirate this.
Point of this thread is if Fat Dan can still come up with numbers when it comes to PPVs on PBC fights, where are Alalshikh's numbers? They're massive compared to the US's.
The answer is they're all fake numbers which are severely exaggerated. Everything in this sport is exaggerated when it comes to numbers. Everyone is making up numbers pulled out of their asses. Why do you think HBO, NBC, CBS, Fox, Showtime left boxing? Exactly. They don't make any profit. So when you see fake reports saying fighter A, B, C made $25 mil, $30 mil, etc., don't believe it.Leave a comment:

They're not in it to make money. Again, if you don't understand that... You might play on the "I shop at Walmart" level. They are the top .01% of the top .01%. If you think they care at all about $$$, you probably don't have the perspective to ever understand. They're playing with nation-state games and stakes.
Remember, you're dealing with people who make an estimated $2.3 million EVERY. MINUTE.
For reference, they could buy Top Rank with about 4.5 hours worth of passive income. If you think they're in it for the money, you are missing the entire point.
