He has been mismanaged and his fight against Ortiz that got postponed a number of times did not help. Now he is 30 and is a high risk low reward fighter since basically he is almost unknown. He has been shafted by the business of boxing and the sanctioning bodies.crimsonfalcon07 likes this.

Ennis had a window of 8 months to make an offer to Stan before Ortiz filed his petition. Schaefer never wanted the Ortiz fight for Stan because it meant dealing with Oscar, who he crossed and got sued for. They were desperate for fights within the Showtime perimeter. Even when the Otiz fight didn't materialize, Ennis still wasn't making any attempt to get Stan for his next fight at Showtime.
