Ball better not go life and death with this dude, but judging by his last two fights, he probably will.

This will be a good measuring comparison for Inoue X Ball

Yawn. Featherweight, welterweight, and middleweight are the most boring, most drab divisions in the sport right now.

Why is Doheny getting a featherweight title shot coming off a stoppage loss at super bantamweight?

That’s a good bet, we’ll see how reckless Ball will be and whether TJ’s power carries up.

TJ has already fought at featherweight several times:
W vs Pichit Sithkruwin TKO 1 (debut for both fighters)
W vs Egy Rozten RTD 3
W vs Prayoot Yaijam TKO 1
W vs Noldi Manakane KO 2
W vs Jesus Martinez RTD 5
L vs Ionut Baluta UD 8
L vs Michael Conlan UD 12
W vs Cesar Juarez TKO 2

The main problem for TJ is that he's lost his last four fights in a row against TBRB or Ring ranked opponents. He can still dispose of low level guys but every time he's stepped up after his title reign ended he's lost.
