Comments Thread For: No time to rest, Serhii Bohachuk anticipates war with Israil Madrimov could trump the Vergil Ortiz battle as Fight of the Year

After a grueling 12-round Fight of the Year candidate in August, most boxers these days would put the gloves and mouthpiece in their locker at the gym and be content to sit out the rest of the year and enjoy getting fat for the holidays.

Gotta love this guy's attitude.... It's a shame that many of today's boxing stars don't think like this.

He definitely earned everyone's notice and respect with the Ortiz fight. If Ortiz wins a title he should challenge him to a rematch, which would also be a barnburner.

It is so refreshing to see a fighter give us five reasons why he wants to fight a dangerous fighter rather than give us five reasons/excuses why a fight will not happen. Everybody loves Serhii and his attitude.

I like both guys and contend both did enough to at least warrant a draw in their respective bouts.

I can't imagine this fight not slapping hard.

Serhii a class act and def a fun fighter to watch and keep n eye on, my man understands the mexican school of Fistiana and its rich tradition. Bohachuk will give Madrimov all he can get.

Agree with everything said. I just think, e.g, how much better the various Gary Russells could've been if they fought 3/4 times a year instead of once every 2 years. If you're a fighter, fight.

Interesting matchup. If Bohachuk can close the distance and avoid getting clipped with a counter, he may be able to outhustle Madrimov.

Serhii beat Vergil clearly imo, hope he can win this one and get a rematch.
