Given Boots/Eddie was unwilling to add an extra 500k to Norman Jr. that he counter offered back, I don't see them paying enough to make PBC willing to cough up their belt that they desperately want to share in house. Even if they do agree to do cross platform, I can see them first doing the Barrios/Benn and Stanionis/Giyasov in first half of 2025, then wait until the end of the year or possibly even early 2026 to do an unification between Barrios and Stanionis first, so Boots will likely be pushed until late 2026/early 2027 at the fastest case possible.

Also, I bet PBC is going to stretch Fundora as long as possible so that they can make Spence-Fundora for one last cashout from Spence IMO so Ortiz is probably better off fighting Madrimov or something if he wins his fight against Bohachuk. Or hope that Canelo dumps Crawford and Turki drops enough coins to Crawford to do Crawford-Ortiz.

Name value and intrigue. If GBP had the opportunity to make Ortiz/Spence, I bet they would. Some are under the impression that Spence's poor performance vs. Crawford had to do with weight. People would tune in to see if Spence can redeem himself or if Ennis could outdo Crawford. I think their styles would mesh perfectly. Spence and Ennis would both be making their 154lb debuts, so Spence wouldn't have to face a full-fledged LMW like Fundora.

I assume this is less about draining Ortiz, and more about Ennis wanting to unify @147. Maybe this is also Hearn sticking it to Oscar. This situation will be framed it in whichever way will create the most engagement. WW is supposedly starting to progress with Barrios/Benn and Stanionis/Giyasov in the works. Maybe Undisputed is within the realm of possibility now. However, I think Ennis is running the risk of staying too long at 147 and draining himself into a loss. It's his choice to make.

I like Ortiz/Ennis, but Fundora is the more logical match-up because it will consolidate the WBC title. Fundora is also free right now.

So lets see...according to some people Crawford "ducked" Boots and basically fled to 154 to grab a belt against a less dangerous no name Madrimov instead, but Boots isn't confident of his ability to move up and fight Ortiz for his interim and was only willing to fight him at 147 weight drained. Oooooookay.

All I know is Jaron is 33 fights deep without a single name to his credit, and he seems content to languish in a ****ty division where he can reap those easy benefits.

And he's looking progressively worse doing it.
