Is US boxing on the decline?

Sure we have big fights every now and then, but it's not consistent in regularity, is it?

Fans probably need more of Probox TV fights or similar so we have more fighters to follow.

It’s been since early 2000s. It barely gets news coverage even with ESPN.

UFC has replaced it as the mainstream combat sport.

We have a couple of boxing mechas in the world. Two of them are Brooklyn New York and Las Vegas Nevada.

Sure I want to see big fights, but I would prefer constancy or regularity over seldom-seen so-called big fights. Right now inactivity is rampant. The US needs new breed of fighters.

True in the US. The Floyd career template that 80% of top American fighters followed killed American boxing.

              That's an inaccurate opinion, respectfully.

Boxing is the number 4 most popular sport in the US - Harris Poll

Great news for real Boxing fans. Although no longer centered in the United States, Boxing is the 4th most popular athletic spectator sport in the US, the largest revenue contributing nation! (And the three that lead it are largely provincial sports).

Hardcore boxing fans tend to gnash their teeth at the recent spate of exhibitions featuring former boxing legends, MMA fighters competing in boxing matches, combination boxing/Verzuz events, and Internet “influencers” squaring off in the ring. But there is a very bright side.

In the most recent Harris Poll, boxing now ranks as the fourth most-popular sport in the United States, behind only football, baseball, and basketball. And ahead of MMA. Ahead of ice hockey. Ahead of soccer. Ahead of tennis. Ahead of golf.

This is rather startling considering boxing wasn’t even in the top ten previously. And perhaps even more shocking is the fact that boxing is no longer just your grandfather’s favorite sport. Young people are flocking to the sweet science, even preferring boxing to baseball!

This site alone shows it's in decline. Writers have nothing much to write about when it comes to US fighters.

The boxing Mecca is now actually in Mecca.

boxing eclipses basketball and baseball easily if boxing’s distribution gets better

it takes work to find screenings for too many big boxing matches

ufc got it right by making their broadcasts highly accessible

                    Most fitting

that faith is a warrior religion. A stern belief system that instills discipline in its followers

                    vegas is hedonistic degeneracy
