  • My idea for the next 5 vs 5.

I see no point in doing Warren vs Hearn again. First of all, it was a conclusive victory for Queensberry and secondly they’re clearly cool now, there’s no real rivalry between them like there once was.

What I’d much rather see is promoters who actually have beef with each other square off. I’d do Warren vs Shalom, and Hearn vs De La Hoya. There’s no love lost between those guys and they’d love to get one over on each other.

    Queensberry vs Boxxer
    Sheeraz vs Eubank Jr
    Yarde (WC) vs Buatsi
    Zhang vs Bakole
    Okollie vs Riakporhe
    Cameron vs Whittaker II

    Matchroom vs Golden Boy
    Stevenson vs Zepeda
    Ennis vs Ortiz
    Opetaia vs Zurdo
    Pacheco vs Munguia
    Catterall vs Ramirez.

Love both ideas and all fights. Especially Queensberry Boxxer.

    Sadly won't happen. Oscar will never, ever do a 5 v 5.

Not sure if Shalom would either but more chance than Oscar.

I couldn't possibly care less about promoters or their storylines or their dumbass beefs. Put the fights on and I'll be there, shove the fake ass WWE storylines up your ass.

That kind of thing is right down your alley anyway isn't it?

In a sport where promoters rarely ever work together, I’m all for any form of collaboration. Storylines sell fights, it’s nothing new.

Did anyone really buy into the 'beef' or the promoter v promoter points system? I just thought it was a good concept because we got a handful of well matched fights.

Well, with the exception of the inclusion of Captain Wilder, who was clearly one last desperate attempt to make a Joshua fight.

If the narrative/story-line is what it takes to produce the event, then the marketing is a tiny price to pay.
