But for Arum to talk about a year in advance, never heard of that right after a first fight. I will bet there is no example of a rematch being talked about for a year later unless there was an injury involved. This is a new one.
Barrera/Morales Alvarez/Golovkin Froch/Kessler... How many examples would you like?

It would be wise for Hearn to do the same with Bivol also

The rematch can marinate and be even bigger
Honestly..this chapter is closed for me. I expected Bivol to beat Artur clearly , which didn't happen.

I don't see a reamtch being bigger. But I want them to fight Morrell and Benavidez.

I don't see canelo fighting neither one, he's not an spring chicken himself so the waiting game is not beneficial to him. I see him choosing another safe bet. He still a draw and will make money, but he ain't relevant in the sense of the sport, he holds three worthless belts that he has not defend against a worthy opponents, in over three years and he had the chance to do it. He ain't SRL nor ODLH just to compare him to others cash cows of the past.

Just to make sure we're on the same page here — are you agreeing or disagreeing that Saudi Arabia is sports-washing?

Disagreeing is one conversation. Agreeing but asking whether I'm also upset about other countries' actions is another. To make my stance clear: Bad things are bad, no matter who does them.

If it's easier to move from the message board and have an actual conversation, I'm always open to that. Lord knows the number of times in "real life" that a conversation has been more appropriate than a series of emails or text messages.

              Cheers,

I agree about Saudi Arabia. It is a despotic regime run by ruthless people. My issue is two-folds, how sports washing has become synonymous with one nation when the same exact same thing is happening in other places but more important, how the West (specifically the US, UK and France) is harping on about it.
We are the last people to be pointing fingers at others. Saudi Arabia executed a journalist so did we (two Reuters journalists in 2007). This is not a whataboutism. Like you said, bad is bad no matter who does it.
We are outraged that Saudi is about to host the World Cup in 2030. Why aren’t we outraged that the US is hosting the same World Cup in 2026?

Anyhow, I hate that everything gets politicized and I’m certainly guilty of that but yeah, a conversation would be apropos, especially with a journalist.

Before the Inoue-Nakatani in the summer/fall, there's likely the Inoue-MJ in April as well. Maybe a third in December too, if we are lucky.
