Curmel Moton might be the most impressive under-20 year old right now. Regardless of weight class. If you disagree then name someone.

There's always a chance he'll look bad later on against better opponents, but looking amazing so far.

I'm not saying he's bad or he's a fraud or anything because it is certainly not impossible that he becomes a HOFer when he retires, but I'm not willing to claim him as the next star simply because he's a young guy crushing tomato cans that were given to him intended to be crushed. His 1R KO highlights are also sandwiching a 8R UD when he fought the one guy in his resume that is actually a prospect as well.

Given that he's 18 right now with 6 fights already, what he is doing three years later at age 21 would give a better future expectation...is he fighting world rankers building his way to a world title, or still crushing tomato cans off the street?

IF he continues to deliver in the ring including when he steps up in competition he obviously has star potential.

Different weight class and not saying he will be better/worse/same, but the guy some people were hailing to become the next big American stars like Anderson and Carrington who looked invinsible crushing tomato cans both didn't look very well when they fought a legit world ranker for the first time...

Obviously IF he continues dominance against world level competition then yeah he deserves the hype.

Inoue made his pro debut at age 19 and won his first belt 4 days before he turned 21 years old (they fought on April 6th, his birthday is April 10th). Being fair since Moton made his pro debut at age 17 and is currently 18, I'm willing to wait until he's 21 (June 2027) to see if he can win a belt by then to give an early judement.

Do I think he will? Doubt it, but I'll applaud him if he somehow does manage to. But either way as I said earlier, 3 years later it will be much more easier to se what he really is.
