Too many deserving contenders and too few "world title" belts available to challenge for?
What a novel approach!
Parker; like DDD, is young enough to have been resurrected; will get his shot at something, because he's earned it.
Ditto for Kayabal, Zhang and Bakole.
A stacked division!Comment

A Super Series Heavyweight tournament would be amazing
Seed 1 - Usyk
Seed 2 - Fury
Seed 3 - Dubois
Seed 4 - Parker
Seed 5 - Bakole
Seed 6 - Zhang
Seed 7 - Kabayel
Seed 8 - AJComment

In that case R1 would be: 1.Usyk-8.Kayabel, 2.Fury-7.AJ (UK frenzy!), 3.Dubois-6.Parker (the younger competition by comparison), and 4.Bakole-5.Zhang (BIG power!). Followed by R2 of 1.Usyk-Bakole/Zhang, 2.Fury-Dubois/ParkerComment

He's earned his position... but how does he cash it in without a fight?
He's in an awkward position - he's probably due a 'keep busy' fight after two big fights, but he's not a big enough draw for anyone to watch. The titles are tied up so he can't get the biggest fights just yet.
So it was either take on yet another contender or be inactive. I don't think inactivity was the right call.Comment
