Who is Crawford going to fight then? Will we have to wait another 12 months? the guys is 37 and is wasting the final years of his career.. To end his career he should have fought, Fundora, Tszyu (to become Undisputed 3x), then fight Spence rematch for the money and potentially the weakest of the Middleweight Champs (Adames) for a 5th division belt...

This. He could've, and should've retired in the history books as the first ever boxer to go 3 divisions undisputed...or atleast be one of the small handful of 5 division beltholders.

And frankly, assuming Canelo's next opening (if he even considers it) is likely May next year it will be once a year even if he lucks out with the pot. If he has no fight in negotiation right now which it seems like he doesn't, no way he gets one in prior to early next year with luck.

Lol he bud is done. What 3 weight undisputed. He only fights once a year so undisputed is so far away. And he will be 38. He wants to cash out against canelo. That last fight against madrimov was too close for comfort.

I hope we get a pleasant surprise and a good fight for Bud at 154 in early 2025, but given the precedent for him it's not looking so good now.

Genuinely don't understand where their team's aim is set right now. Easy to conclude that he's truly just exclusively chasing the mega catchweight big money fight and coming up empty handed...

Would love to just see him fight Ortiz at this point, that would erase doubts at least and be a legit next step at 154.

He has/had more than enough chance to finish it before turning 38 which is sad. Fight Fundora on December, then Tszyu (assuming he defeats Murtazaliev) next summer. That is all he had to do then he could've retired while still 37 as three division undisputed out at the top, or use that title to chase money aka Canelo or whatever (he was willing to fight undisputed 154 Jermell so why not undisputed 154 Crawford?) for a fat retirement paycheck.

Too bad he's chasing a rabbit that he likely won't catch and probably end up fighting someone less lucrative next summer for some kind of Saudi check (but not Canelo).

Which good opponent in 154 doesn't already have a fight likely scheduled in early 2025 tho?

Fundora now will most definitely go for Spence in early 2025 so later 2025 is his next opening, but Crawford obviously has no interest to fight him at all.
Tszyu/Murtazaliev has a fight this month, and probably can't expect the next fight until realistically May/June 2025 at the earliest IMO if he doesn't go for Fundora next.
Madrimov/Bohachuk has a fight on December making early 2025 unlikely as well.
Ortiz, maybe but he seems to have no interest in him.
              Boots is staying in 147.

...Fight a two year layoff Jermell next February/March? Not sure if Jermell can still make 157 tho.

Nothing new here. Crawford has been one of the best boxers in this era but negotiations takes priority over belts and history.

He thinks he is worth way more what people are willing to pay to see him fight. He really has no solid fan base and all this inactivity has put him in obscurity.

Mike Copp reported Crawf and Fundoras team came to an agreement that allows Fundora to proceed with his voluntary defense vs Spence and if Fundora wins, they fight in late spring 2025.

*if Spence were to win, we all know he wont wanna get that a.ss whoopin again

Maybe he's hoping that Spence beats Fundora so he can have a more lucrative rematch with Spence. If Tszyu beats Murtazaliev, there's a big money unification in Australia to be had too. Dunno though. I'm starting to think that he really is Canelo or retire.

Another big name fighter not fighting because of reasons. That's cool; eating plenty over the next few months.
