Mike Copp reported Crawf and Fundoras team came to an agreement that allows Fundora to proceed with his voluntary defense vs Spence and if Fundora wins, they fight in late spring 2025.

I happened to track these developments leading to this on YouTube. Crawford's supporters were happily taunting Fundora ducking Crawford. I kind of like thinking you might get what you wish for. In the back of their minds it's not happening anyways because the Canelo fight would soon take over.

So as weeks pass and it appears it's going to happen as WBO ordered the fight, then later the request for 10 days extension, one channel is suddenly now incredulously asking, "Is it really happening?" obviously worried. Which just weeks ago he was celebrating Fundora ducking Crawford. (He's supposed to celebrate, instead.) The other channels didn't update their Fundora ducking narratives. Where did the taunting go?

Disappointing. It's not a Canelo fight but for 3 belts and well on the way to undisputed it has real value.

Hopefully the now gets kicked down the WBC and WBO rankings

As much as Ginger loves to fight small guys, i figured he wouldnt fight Crawf. As for Bud, i follow him, among others on social media. He said awhile back he wanted to chill with his fam the rest of the year and he just came back from a trip around the world.
in the end, he and fundora came to an agreement. Hope Fundora keeps his end up.

He has/had more than enough chance to finish it before turning 38 which is sad. Fight Fundora on December, then Tszyu (assuming he defeats Murtazaliev) next summer. That is all he had to do then he could've retired while still 37 as three division undisputed out at the top, or use that title to chase money aka Canelo or whatever (he was willing to fight undisputed 154 Jermell so why not undisputed 154 Crawford?) for a fat retirement paycheck.

Too bad he's chasing a rabbit that he likely won't catch and probably end up fighting someone less lucrative next summer for some kind of Saudi check (but not Canelo).

Madrimov brought reality to Crawford. After bud was on cloud 9 from spence fight. And he hadn't fought twice since 2019. So he was never going change now as he is older. Meaning undisputed was a pipe dream. Infact at 147 he let spence collect the belt while he just beat him for it.

Oh I am more than aware that he won't have fought 2 times a year after spending his 30s fighting annually, I'm just making a point that he had more than ample time to still go undisputed (without having to fight crazy often) if he had one sense of willingness to chase history. Fundora on December/January next year, followed by Tszyu next summer is more than enough time to train and prep if you had the willingness to. Not like he needs to fight 4 times in one year or something farfetched like that.

Granted being fair I believe Crawford would've defeated any of the guys Spence fought to get the belts at 147, so it isn't like he needed Spence to have 3 belts or he wasn't gonna win or anything.

I don't think Crawford ever wanted the fight. He was trying to get a free belt because he thought he would just drop the belt. They called his bluff. Crawford is beatable at 154. He's looking for a cash out. This reminds me of Mikey Garcia all over again. Trying to sell the 0 to the highest bidder.

Guy is totally unreliable at the negotiating table. Nothing new here. Besides those 154 fighters seem to close for comfort especially seeing how that Madrimov fight was tougher than expected.

Arum gave Bud his walking papers because he lost millions trying to promote Bud who has the personality of an ant. Bud has his mind on one thing only, kiss Turki’s ass and pray that Inshallah Turkie will be dumb enough to to pay Nelo $100M plus to fight him.

Bud was is a very good fighter when he fought subpar opponents and a shot Spence. He struggled against Madrimov. If Turki was wise and not being played by the three musketeers, (Warren, Hearn, and S. Brown), , he would make Bud v Boots. or even Bud v Teo which Turki won’t do because he can’t stand Arum, Teo’s promoter. Turki tried to buy out Top Rank and Arum told Turki to eat cake. Turki, being the arrogant, narcissistic, bully he is, got pissed.

Unfortunately, even with Hearn as Boots promoter, Hearn has been told by Turki to chill because he’s dead set on Nelo v Bud which is as dumb a fight as there is.

Crawford can’t draw flies to fresh camel poop, he’s a promoters worst nightmare. Don’t believe me, ask Arum. Bottom line, if Turki wants it, pay Nelo $100M plus, otherwise, as Nelo said to Turki in so many words, pay me or else, F off. Turki is quickly learning, he can control the three musketeers, but not the Mexican shot caller.

I'm not sure bud can fight in January having already fought in August. His Next fight could be in July or August of next year.

And what I mean is that at 147 bud let spence collect the belts. While he was fighting washed guys for once a year.
