Dude, are you a child? This isn't WWE. Shane said " The fans want to see a great fight. let's get this done".

Am I a child? Absolutely not. Mayweather/Mosley is in fact the biggest fight that can be put together. But the fact is also, Arum can put his fighters against other Top Rank fighters and not have to worry about sharing promotional revenue which is what he prefers. He can also deal with outside fighters not named Mayweather and practically guarantee that his fighters get the bigger slice of the pie. The only fight I wanna see Mayweather in is Mosley. Thats the ONLY fight of his I won't stream for free.

I don't know why it is so hard for some people to accept the reality: Floyd sells the most.

Does it mean that he is the best? no. Just like when MC Hammer or Britney Spears sells a ton of records, it doesn't mean they are better than Jay-Z or Nelly Furtado. I mean, Michael Bolton has sold a ton. ya know?

But the fact is that Floyd has promoted himself the best, has used controversy to his advantage, and has created a history of the best sales.

They make themselves appear like jealous schoolgirls when they try to deny or rationalize the obvious. Rather than to just acknowledge it, and move on.

Floyd sells the most? So basically what you are saying is Floyd was on the A side of the fight with Oscar and Ricky? He was on the A side of the fight with Gatti? The ONLY reason this fight sold the way it did is because Floyd was gone for 2 years. Put Floyd in with a fighter who can't help him carry a PPV i.e. Judah, Baldomir, and we see where the numbers are.

**** off FLoyd, go fight anelo Alvarez and retire for good!!!!!
                yes they will.....

even taking a 40-45 % split, pacman will make world's more money than he would taking the bulk of cash against anybody else.....

like schafer said, oscar took the bulk of his purse splits, he didn't have a problem getting fights made....neither will floyd. no double standards.

by the way, if cotto took a 30 something % split against pacman, he will more than do the same if he had a chance to fight floyd.

Well, let me offer you some advice:
when you say "mosley punked Floyd in front of MILLIONS lolz omg pwned", it makes you seem like a WWE-fixated pre-teen. Because anyone with an iota of maturity acknowledged that was an unfortunate moment for Shane and Bernard. It was inappropriate behaviour, and nearly every mainsteam "scribe" attested to such.

Did Shane spoil Floyd's moment? Yes. Did Shane "punk" Floyd? no.

If I Show up at your wedding and pee on your cake, am I punking you?

I could give a **** less what the numbers do. This is why you are a casual boxing fan and I am a die-hard boxing fan. I don't care about PPV numbers. Before boxing was anything else, it was a SPORT, and still is a sport. And that sport is about which fighters are the best, not about which fighters sell the most. I could care less what the PPV numbers do. I will PAY to see Cotto fight Pacqauiao because Manny is challenging himself, and Cotto hasn't turned down any challenges. I will NEVER buy another Mayweather fight because he only seems to cherrypick fighters who have no chance of beating him.

                      they just did.....

and the same could be said for pacquiao and cotto.

was pacquiao the A-side attraction against oscar? against hatton? NO

and both of those fights sold less than mayweather against the same opponents. what's the highest PPV buy rate cotto has ever done?

                      schafer's right. period.
