The more money Floyd makes the bigger Shaefer's cut is gonna be. And how does he knows how many buys its gonna generate, talking straight out of his ass. HBO 24/7 is one great marketing tool that gets the common fans and none fans interested in the fights. But it is a matter of time when fights like the Floyd/Marquez don't live up to the expectations from the 24/7 that it won't have the effect that it has been generating

I'm not even sure how much it helped for Mayweather-Marquez. Well beyond 24/7, they marketed the hell out of that fight like no other (with the exception of Mayweather-de la Hoya).
And I have to say, while Pacquaio-Cotto has built-in buzz, I don't see the marketing for the fight being anywhere nearly as aggressive as the 9/19 event. So far, Arum's doing a lot of talking, Cotto's sending home sparring partners and Pac's camp is allegedly imploding.
Beyond that, it seems to me like Arum expects the fight to sell itself.

People are ****ing on about Floyd , surely the Mexican American population in America must have contributed to these numbers surely !!!!!!
If Pacquiao beats Cotto , then in the PPV stakes Pacquaio will be the closest PPV attraction there is to Floyd and the linear no 1 P4P fighter in the world , he deserves the Lions share IMO !!!!!!

both fighters fought dlh, hatton, and marquez and floyds numbers were better in all three fights. so why should mayweather split the purse 50/50 with pacquiao? thats ****** business. the only problem is arum promotes most of the top welterweights and arum will use that as a tactic in negotiations. somebody should clip arum and then all this could be possible.
