I've got many things I want to say about this idea, but to summarize...why? Like seriously Ohashi...why????????
If not Murata, are they gonna bring up fringe 154 contender Takeshi Inoue (unrelated to Naoya) up to 168 or some BS like that? Or a friggin kickboxer crossplatform into boxing?
I'm almost praying it was actually Saudi coming in and not Ohashi going insane, and they are doing Inoue-MJ and Canely-Mbilli or something a tad more semi-respectable?

There are literally no Japanese supermiddleweights.
Murata aint coming out of retirement.
If Canelo fights, it's gonna be vs another non-jp fighter... but i would imagine an American would make the most sense.
It's a smart way to cross promote 2 massive audiences.

Caleb Plant getting an interim title shot against a guy I never heard of coming off a loss is pretty su****ious, they gonna throw him back in there with Canelo?
