It was a really rough loss but overall AJ had a solid career and beyond his in ring skills you also need to take into account how important he has been to HW boxings resurgence over the last 10 years, and to boxings mainstream popularity in general. Whether you like him or not is besides the point, its undeniable that he was a massive star and draw and had people invested in watching him.

Being knocked down is a great chance to get out of a fight.
And most fighters do not push the issue, after being knocked down several times, like AJ did.
Again, I don't hate him.
I don't cheerlead for him either.
He has flaws but is willing to exchange punches even when hurt.
What more do we want from a boxer ?
