It's the fight game. People lose, they get knocked out, heck even ****ing worse (death). Be respectful that they get in there to give us entertainment.
Not many can do what they do or jump in the ring. It looks easier on the outside surface as well, but hey, you do you, it's sport and there are going to be smack talk in between.
I'm probably classed as a fanboy as I respect the guy's achievements.
I also thought Dubois was a big chance in this fight and I said it on here. Mainly because his jab was being underrated.
The OP's anti fanboy post is pathetic in my opinion. Exactly the sort of person I wouldn't want to engage with. Can you imagine meeting that sort of person in real life?
It's a professional sport where people win and lose.
It was a really rough loss but overall AJ had a solid career and beyond his in ring skills you also need to take into account how important he has been to HW boxings resurgence over the last 10 years, and to boxings mainstream popularity in general. Whether you like him or not is besides the point, its undeniable that he was a massive star and draw and had people invested in watching him.
Boxers put it all out there against the best natural fighters that money can entice, under the fight rules that history deems matter more than any others do.
Parker gave everything and went out swinging like a warrior on his shield.
An 11th round K.O - while fighting sick - to a rampant Juggernaut AJ ducked is nothing to be ashamed about.
A 5th round battering after getting knocked down 3 times previously to a guy you're calling shït between rounds while claiming you're fighting smart...
I lol'd and the world lol'd with me.
AJ kept getting up, though and had DDD on the ropes.
Not a ''fan'' per se but I acknowledge when a guy refuses to stay down.
I'm sure you would see it that same way if that was your favorite fighter who lost in this manner.

Nobody else in the world does that.
Respect those who are BETTER than you are.
End of story.
Cops, teachers and firefighters do it all the time for less glory and money
I don't get it.
This idea that boxers are above getting ridiculed.
If beating a common couch potato is the sign of greatness, then, that fighter is pretty basic.
And we are assuming that would be the case.
Haney and his crew didn't get that ''Pros beat Joes'' memo.

He had to get up or damage his brand so irrepairably that there'd be no coming back because he didn't have a rematch to quit and fall back on like Ruiz.

Being knocked down is a great chance to get out of a fight.
And most fighters do not push the issue, after being knocked down several times, like AJ did.
Again, I don't hate him.
I don't cheerlead for him either.
He has flaws but is willing to exchange punches even when hurt.
What more do we want from a boxer ?
