This fight could be just as big as any other, imho. Huge Mexican crowds would flock to see this fight. It's an intriguing fight if you are a fan of the sport.

Let's not forget that Crawford enforced his mandatory position in the Tsyu vs Fundora, who came out as the winner. Then later, WBO ordered the fight.

im just not seeing bud fight the big guy for some reason, he wants the big fish canelo & im not sure what his back up plan is if he doesnt get him next may, he came to 154 maybe for a belt at a new weight class & to show canelo he was able to hang at the higher weights but if anything the fight may have reduced people interest in seeing the canelo fight as most give bud little shot at victory but funny enough canelo was reluctant to fight bud as he said he had not much to gain and a lot to lose (lacking confidence here maybe??) but now bud might seems a better option given his last fight to canelo, who knows, canelo didnt rule him out now as he did in the past so maybe hes shifting his opinion on the fight

Ball is in PBC's court now as well as Crawford. They have to deal with it now, not after a month, 2 months, 6 months. And the Mexican superstar is spending time with his family relaxing. He's far from thinking about his next fight.

I'm getting an unfortunate hunch that Crawford won't ever fight Fundora even though he'd win, because he won't want to train for a fight that gets him no money.

He probably came up and petitioned for the 154 WBO to begin with because he assumed Tszyu would win against Fundora, and a Crawford-Tszyu fight for two belts would've gotten him good money, but Crawford-Fundo won't. Or, he's assuming Fundora will run away and drop the WBO belt to fight Spence.i

What Bud thought he could get: good money for unified 154 fight against Tszyu in 2024, Canelo cashbag in 2025, then retire loaded or do one last cash out at 160 against a Charlo or a Spence II at 154 if he managed to get a belt while Crawford was fighting Canelo.

idk why ppl can’t see the obvious. Boxing fans want to see him do this and do that, but the bottom line is he wants to cash out and retire. He doesn’t care if he doesn’t beat Canelo, but that fight will give him a payday that will make him ok with having a loss on his record. He already has a built in excuse, he was too small. The most demanded fight for Bud by far is Boots. It won’t happen because Bud is chasing a bag, not legacy.

Most likely even Alvarez and Turki would love to see this fight, so I don't see them getting in the way. For what, rescue Crawford? Why?

Crawford doesn't owe PBC anything. They probably derailed his career as much as the Top Rank fallout. Spence is probably close to 200 lbs., no wonder Fundora's focus is now Bud.

Doesn't really matter is it? I don't think PBC can afford to offer Crawford's asking price anyways. Fight will go to purse bid then.
