Ok, understand, I didn't think that one through very well! Thanks.Comment

A rematch is nonsense even though it's a contractual requirement.
It's not as if Dubois took a title from a champ who - as is the custom - gets a second chance as a nod to the (supposed) significance of a title.
And Joshua had no title yesterday to defend.
Joshua should have to earn his way back by beating at least one of the other top guys.
I'd much prefer to see Joshua vs Zhang over a Fury, Parker, or Usyk matchup.
EDIT: Actually, Joshua should have to go through Bakole if it's not Zhang to be in the conversation.
If him and Joshua want to milk any more money before retirement they'd be better going to see Wilder imo. A rematch with Dubois would be a mistake; both guys know what they can do so Joshua will be even more stiff and nervous.Comment

Semantic nuances aside, Bakole's standing as a legit threat, in my opinion, is greater than that of a horribly diminished Joshua.Comment

Hearn isn't letting either Zhang or Bakole anywhere gear Joshua.

If a legit try for greatness is the motivation, he's gotta aim for the top guys. We all know that.Comment

The only truly top level fighters in the division are Usyk and Fury. Usyk got the win but both showed very high level stuff in the fight at times.
There's Usyk and a focused Fury, then the rest are quite a bit behind them in terms of quality.
