Not that I always agree.....but your posts stand out as some of the most contemplative and well thought out. There are a few in here that I consider "must read" but one guy in particular was a stand out. It was years ago on another site but he had a very similar contemplative, honest perspective that always made me aware of my own short comings.I'm not a fan of either Teo or Haney but nothing happens in a vacuum and the devil is in the details. A fight may have been offered but just because Teo turned it down doesn't mean he swerved Haney. It could be that the timeline or the circumstances weren't ideal.

Garcia was popped for PEDs, this is true. Haney did not. Haney has SNAC and they know how to walk the line without popping hot. Haney comes into most fights much bigger than his opponents. While I acknowledge what Garcia did was grimey, I don't really have alot of sympathy for Devin.

Teo is a headcase who is terribly inconsistent and has no clue how to effectively cut off a ring. He caught an L against Sandor Martin that isn't on his record because the judges bailed him out. He struggled against Ortiz and showed he doesn't have the same pop at 140 in his fight against Claggett.

 I hate that guy.

Hopefully you don't hate me! Joking aside, thanks for the kind words, I appreciate your opinions and points of view as well. I'm just a fan of the sport for a long time. What very little that I have boxed myself (more just getting punched in the face), I learned to respect the sacrifices of those that do. It's a brutal sport and an even more brutal business. I don't have expert or inside knowledge and my opinions are just my perspective, and are probably wrong as often as they are accurate.

Also, good reasonable post from you. I agree. My real question is - who is going to offer more money to either Devin or Teo? It is almost they need each for half reasonable ppv show other if they are going to be paid what they both want to be paid.
Good reasonable post. Can the fight be made though? I think Haney's a very talented fighter and would beat Teo, but how much $$$ will he be asking for? How big of a purse will this fight generate and how much of the pie is he willing to share with Teo?

As much as I like Haney, I find it hard to believe that the fight does big PPV numbers or is worth more than 8 to 9 million. Will Haney be ok with accepting 60/40, 65/35??? Will Teo be ok with accepting 35% of the purse?

The Haney/Martin purse bid that Haney rejected says a lot about what his perceived worth is..Comment

Fair take. I was rooting for Loma but he absolutely let that fight go by fighting scared the first half.later complained that he had an injury. I call BS. Clearly lost that one…

You just mad another non black fighter is caught again ducking or juicing
I doubt Teo is avoiding Haney, Haney just chatting shít to keep himself relevant.

As for Teo fighting Haney lets be fair here he's huge compared to Loma, the reality is Loma should really be at 26

And also even when you watch the highlights of Teo vs Loma the amount of "highlights" from Teo that are just punches on gloves and forearms is mind-boggling.

It's truly debatable if he even won that fight and it wasn't just a case of people including the judges just awarding him rounds because of the expectations placed on Loma.Comment
