I thought the original rules outlined a points-based system, not a percentage one. Given that this is a cash-reward contest, diligence to participate in as many pick ems as possible is in the best interest of the contestants. But if you're cool with the percentage metric, OK.
FWIW, I think the percentage is a fair metric. Mikey had more perfect picks and if he'd remembered to play in all, he'd have won outright, likely. That being said, I'm still kicking myself for second guessing my original pick of a draw in the second to last one. If I'd stuck with my call, none of it would have mattered. Live and learn. I'm just pleased to have done as well as I did, and thanks to Nick Ball for giving me an X5 underdog perfect pick. That was the easiest pick of the season for me.Comment

Of course. But who is responsible for that? If you dont pick...so be it....but the competition shouldnt be held responsible for that. Who is to say that whoever didnt pick would have gotten correct anyways? All you are doing is applying credit for failure to comply to the rules.
We only use the percentage as a tiebreaker at the end of the season / year when two or more players have otherwise scored equally - like saying OK it was a draw but who got there most accurately and efficiently? The percentage doesn't play any other role in the game and of course under the Pick Em scoring system the more fights you pick on the more points you're likely to get. Used to use perfect picks as a secondary tiebreaker too but now that's been integrated into the scoring systemComment

Maybe should be percentage of total possible rather than percentage of picks made then? Because choosing not to pick or forgetting is functionally the same as picking wrong in all other ways.

Imo it should be highest number of correct picks. If that is tied only then go to highest percentage. It's just easier all round.Comment
